My (Holy) Grail Doll

Rin Tohsaka is one of my favorite characters, but I didn't expect to be able to get the DD version any time soon.  Then I managed to find one on Mandarake for not much more than a new standard DD would be.  I'm really glad to have her; as cute as she was in the pictures, she's a hundred times prettier in real life.

She's the original Hollow Ataraxia release, as opposed to the UBW version.  It's kind of hard to believe she's ten years old!

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get her stockings on.  They're very much tailored to the shape of her legs, and the narrowest portion didn't want to fit over her heel and ankle joint.  The stain prevention tights might be contributing factors as well, but the stockings are the main thing I wanted them for... I might try again later, but I'm also tempted to just try one of the Obitsu pairs I have, since they're made out of a stretchier knit.

With her girlfriend Servant close friend and ally Saber.  The height difference between the DD and the 50cm Obitsu body is a lot more noticeable than is quite accurate, but they look cute together

Saber: Thank you for your offer, but in this form I do not need any extra mana. Perhaps if there is a need for combat.
Rin: R-right...

Rin: Ehhh?! Emiya-kun, what happened?  Did you shrink?
Shirou: No, we're just different scales so it's normal.  There's actually another Tohsaka who's the same size as me.
Rin: Hmm, how mysterious.  You're really cute like this, though...
Shirou: Ah, Tohsaka, can you put me down now?

I actually have a nendo Archer as well, but his bottom half kept coming loose, so I couldn't get a good picture.  I wonder if he was being uncooperative because he was embarrassed?

Gratz on Rin.

I can't speak to V1, but I have no issues getting V2's stockings on over protective tights. Mine has never worn those tights without them.

I did manage to get them on eventually, it just took a lot of patience and careful pulling.  She's definitely not taking them off any time soon.

Congrats on getting her! Getting a grail is one of the most rewarding experiences in this hobby ^_^

Were you ever able to get the tights on? If not, you should at least take the suit off to snap photos you like of her.  That’s what I did with a black suit and tights. I put them on my Towa, but I’d never keep them on her. I have them on a resin doll that was cheaper since the outfit is cute and I’d like a doll wearing it on display haha. 

I did eventually get them on over the stain-prevention tights.  It just took a long time and a lot of carefully pulling the stockings up bit by bit.  I should take more pictures of her, though, since I got a really cute sweater for her.

Am I the only person that sees the pun in the title? 😅
