Sord Posted November 18, 2019 If anyone from the U.S. uses Credit or Debit card for purchases on the Volks International site, could you tell me if your Address in the 'Address Book' part of your Volks profile matches this: (Japanese word) [Your Zip code] (Japanese words) [Your Street address, City, State] [Your Telephone number] I'm thinking I don't need to add 'U.S.A.' among the address in the second line, since my 'Country Information' has already been filled out under the "Member Information" page. Also, that's where they'll get my name from. I really just want to make sure though. I want to use a Credit Card for my next purchase and I'd like the info to be accurate. My last purchase from there was over a year ago, but I used Paypal, so all the info wasn't filled out. I don't have Paypal anymore because...reasons, and that's why that isn't an option for me right now.
cfx Posted November 18, 2019 If you set the international store site to English, you shouldn't have Japanese text for any of those fields, or at least I do not. (That might be a change with this new site update that just happened, I don't remember.) Anyway, what I have is: (Postal code) [blank] (Address 2) [Street address, City, State Zip code] (Telephone number) [Telephone number] I don't have anything else filled out, and do not have USA explicitly indicated. The layout is such that those fields should match the ones you indicated. Based on various other posts here, it seems to be important to have the postal code field as blank, and your zip code instead in that address field with the rest. Otherwise, your credit card will fail authentication, based on what has happened to others. I can't confirm that, but what I can confirm is mine has worked with the way mine is set up, and my package arrived with my complete address on it including zip code. By this point in time, I really don't remember if I changed mine to be like this because of what I read here or if that's just how mine was after they converted the data over. While it isn't required to order, if you're going to be ordering during a clickwar, it's also useful to go ahead and do the part where your credit card info is stored.

I set the site to English before signing in, and it still showed that small amount of Japanese text. 33 minutes ago, cfx said: Based on various other posts here, it seems to be important to have the postal code field as blank, and your zip code instead in that address field with the rest. Okay, I'll try that. 35 minutes ago, cfx said: While it isn't required to order, if you're going to be ordering during a clickwar, it's also useful to go ahead and do the part where your credit card info is stored. Yup, I already did that. It was the most straight-forward part. But, I didn't know that it was necessary for clickwars, so thanks for the mention.

Hmm, that's odd, maybe little bugs still on the new site. 2 minutes ago, Sord said: Yup, I already did that. It was the most straight-forward part. Not truly necessary to order, but since items in your cart aren't guaranteed to not sell out while you're checking out, anything you can do ahead of time to speed up the process will help, especially if the site is still slow and unresponsive during the clickwar. I see. It will definitely be a big help for an upcoming clickwar. I've got some bad news! I went to edit and update my Shipping Address info, but the "Postal Code" field can no longer be left blank; it says that it's required, and so unfortunately, I just can't try your method. Thanks for the suggestion, though. Since I have no option now, I'll leave the Zip Code only in the required field and see how that goes. Also, I went to make sure that all the info in the "Member Information" section (Where 'Country Name', 'Email Address', etc. is) was correct, when I noticed that the 'Address 2' field only had my street address, lol. So, I updated it to include my City and State alongside my street address.

Probably if I tried to edit the page I'd get the same message though. Maybe, hopefully, they've fixed the issue where that field was making credit cards fail. Sord Posted November 23, 2019 Update: So far, nothing has worked. I got an email from Volks saying that sometimes the problem can be with incorrect Credit Card info, but, that wasn't the issue either. And so, what I'm going to try to do next, is to start from scratch and re-register at some point in the future, but I can't do it now because the site is down from experiencing heavy traffic. What a headache.
cfx Posted November 23, 2019 (edited) I was looking through some other threads earlier and I forgot that Billy had a similar issue a while ago: If I read that correctly, he had to try several different credit cards before one worked.
