I have finally got a hold of my first Doll! I have very happy with her.

I’ve decided to name her Kyoko. If you have any advice for her and I that would be very much appreciated! Thank you!

Congrats and welcome to the hobby!

It’s so nice to see someone adopting Coron as their first girl! DDPs are a bit “Hard Mode” in the world of Dollfies right now cause choice for them is quite limited in terms of clothing and parts (the curse of a newer body type). When selecting  clothes pay close attention to the fit, most MDD stuff will fit a DDP but will be short, so long sleeves and pants can be a problem. There’s some threads here discussing known fits and problems for DDP, reading those will probably save you a lot of grief.

The latest Volks news showed that some dedicated DDP socks are coming soon along with a hooded outfit that the standard DDPs were a model for. So from now hopefully they will be releasing a lot more for your Kyoko to wear!

Here is a thread with some "clothing for DDP" discussion.

Volks does offer clothing options for DDP, but they are shared with MDD. If your concept for her is more of a small child than a tween, then they have plenty to offer. What DDP lack is DDP specific clothing options.

Your big issue with the Volks outfits is any MSD outfit with pants won't work with DDP due to leg / hip size differences. Skirts and dresses seem to be fine, tops work, shoes work, and some underwear works.

Congrats on your first DD.

Edit: You might want to get her a stand, and a bodysuit too. Volks has a stand extender for DDP that can be attached to their MDD stand.

The difference between Dollfie Dreams and Heroin? Heroin is illegal, Dollfie Dreams probably should be.

“Empty wallets, full hearts.” That’s probably an apt description for the effects of DD addiction

Ui-

I almost got her too, but I went with Towa. Still waiting for them to ship her and her outfit. She’s DDdy though. f3 body type but I don’t think that affects her outfit just posability and replacement parts. Except the head and hands I think they said.

Congrats! Towa will be my first too. :) I wanted the longer wig and DDdy bust size. I have a lot of clothes patterns that I’m making that are specifically for DDdy. I guess it would fit others with a large bust too.

Congrats on getting her! the first is always special as for tips, wash your hands before handling her, use gloves (optional) and don't leave any clothing on her or wig (unless you get one of these flsh suits to avoid staining) and most importantly, enjoy her :)
