XOHimitsuOX Posted January 13, 2012 Once again, i decided to give Kaori a another face-up. My previous attempts are hand brushing Kaori's face ended up as failures, then resorting to masking then airbrushing the face-up. As i was never satisfied with the results and i really wanted to do a nice face-up by hand brushing it. I was thinking of getting the Volks Make-up paint set, but found it a bit too expensive. I got some acrylic paints, retarder medium and gloss crystal varnish from an arts and crafts store and found these paints a lot easier to paint with a paintbrush than the Tamiya Acrylic paints. I just bought one to test and it fits perfectly, i ended up going back to get some more IMGP5116 by XOHimitsuOX, on Flickr I just remembered that i got Alna on Jan 4th last year. Make think that when i come to create "Sayaka" & "Phoniex" later in the year is to look at using a light brownish/flesh color around the eyes instead of black. Also love Alna's new apron, so if it's ment for cooking, she be making some great dishes, of if it's ment to be a workshop apron, I'll think it might be best to keep the M16 away from her as she might be tempted to creat some custom made bullets. And Alna seems to like her apron... but I was so not thinking I'd see THAT style apron on her.... or that she would have clothing on underneath it. I'm so bad.... I must be a huge dweeb though, because when I saw that apron on Alna, my first thought wasn't "cooking" or "cleaning" but "ceramic", and thus I pictured her wearing it while sitting in front of a pottery wheel. XD LOL! It's not just you! The image that went thru my head was from "Calvin and Hobbes" where they make things from clay and Hobbes says he wants a smock... and continues on for 2 strips going "I love my smock, it rocks, and I'm tops in my smock! I was thinking of getting black paint, but thought that it would be too bold and went for shades of brown instead. You'll see what the apron was for Kaori is so lovely!
