Does anyone know what doll this is?

The clothing says it’s “Circus Series” but idk what that is. I’ve seen the same doll in other clothing too. Curious if it’s custom, or if anyone knows the particular head sculpt… I’d rather buy something “real” which is why I’m asking here first. I don’t really know. Thanks, everyone!

 

 

I know how to find the outfit online… but I don’t know if it’s a copy of a real outfit or not. But that said, I want the face sculpt really badly haha. Sooo cute. I think she’s MDD size...

Looks like modded MDD? No idea on the outfit; I'd assume it's a custom piece.

Yeah that’s what I was thinking too. I just don’t know what head sculpt it would have used. Is there a mouthless one you can just paint on?

 

As for the outfit I think it’s by someone named “youlilin25”. The faceup may be a custom job by them too. I just wonder what head sculpt so I can customize it myself.... haha.

I was thinking a modded DDH-01 too, but I get the feeling I’d be able to tell... I’ll check out the Dollce type A. Thanks.

Also there are a whole bunch of outfits that doll models, circus related. Very cute too. Let me know if you want a link to where I found it. Only reason I’m not posting it now is because I don’t know if I can or not. 😛

That’s exactly where I found it and it seems that youlilin25 is the person who came up with it. I’ll see if this person on AliExpress has the other outfits that doll modeled too. 
 

makes sense that it’s a custom faceup with a drawn face like that. It’s pretty adorable. Lol.

I’m probably going to end up getting all of them. I’m going to buy the Dollce type A head and paint that face on. I’m quite excited since it fits DDs. 
 

I wonder which one I should get to go with the body type... Liliru? Should I check Mandarake? Ugh I can’t choose. That top can fit up to a 25cm bust (so like DD L bust, but not DDdy) because of the ties at the sides. Might look a little funky... but I really wonder which body I should get. Might get some new hands too. Ugh. I’m so excited. 
 

That first carnage outfit is what I’m getting. Then the blue one with a skirt that has points like a start. Haha. I’ll post a pic if anyone doesn’t know. 
 

EDIT: But serious. Thank you. I’ve been pulling my hair out trying to reverse image search it, check Chinese sites etc. Ultimately waobao is the one place I found youlilin25, who I think is the designer of the outfits. Back from 2013. 
 

Hope she’s still active... but with a custom doll like that and the amount of time this lady put into modeling such cute clothes (and going out and taking pictures with tons of people around. I love that. No shame for your lovely hobby!!!) I don’t see her stopping.

Head's up, but I think that AliExpress shop is a reseller. The taobao price is around $54, while the AliExpress price is $105 (nearly double!). So the AliExpress seller is either buying from the taobao seller + marking it up, OR the AliExpress seller is stealing photos and making their own "version" of the outfit (so what you get may not be what you see).

Yeah I noticed that. I didn’t know if there was a difference. I didn’t check prices either all told. 
 

Can you buy from taobao in English? Is there an English option? If so I want to buy from the original person, youlilin25, who made the designs.

You need a shopping agent to buy from taobao. There a ton out there; I personally use Bhiner. You tell them everything you want, they order it for you, ship it to their warehouse (in China), then forward it from their warehouse to your home address. You pay a service fee, but it'd still be less than the mark-up on AliExpress. Bhiner has a taobao translation app via their site, you can shop "in" English via Bhiner.

Heh. Bhiner. I found that while searching for this outfit. Hmm. Do you need a shopping agent because they won’t ship overseas in Taobao or because you can’t read the Chinese? If that’s the case I can just use Taobao. I just don’t know if they ship to USA. I guess I could contact them

I usually use Bhiner because I buy from multiple taobao sellers in one go, so I can have everything sent to their China warehouse, and then in a SINGLE package to me -- so I only pay international shipping once. Also, a lot of sellers I like do not ship internationally at all, so an agent is required for them.

So! I found someone who will customize the faceup in their style. I’m thinking of adding hot glue or something on the lip area where she’s drooling so it pops. 
 

I'm making a Jibril custom DDS L bust. I’m going to get a mini tablet that she can hold and drool over haha.

DDP doesn’t have a bust big enough (sadly... even MDD has a L bust option), and MDD is too tiny for Jibril. DD or DDdy (even though it’s a tad shorter than DD) would be ideal, but looking at DollceA heads on other dolls that don’t have a neck cuff or choker, it’ll look weird with that unnaturally large body with a bit smaller head sculpt than normal DDH heads. Too much neck. 
 

Looks great on MDD, but that’s too small for Jibril. If they had a L bust for DDP I would’ve gotten that, but L shapely bust DDS is going to be fine.

Now if only you could mod the neck length haha (not on Towa. I’ll buy a base body and L shapely bust).

Dollce heads are actually larger than standard DD heads. Dollce A takes a 9-10 wig, bigger than the usual 8-9 wig for DD. The head probably looks "off" on the larger bodies because of how the facial features are proportioned and arranged, not because of the overall head size.

Normally my recommendation for petite but curvy is the AZ02, but that body normally has a 7-8 head; jumping up to 9-10 may be too much. That said, the AZ02 has serious curves at the petite 50cm height. 

If I recall correctly, I think someone tried an Obitsu 50cm bust on a DDP body and it fit, though the colors aren't an exact match. That could be an option as well if the color doesn't bother you.
