New Basic Dolls

 

I almost got excited for boys again, and then I read the wall of text and realised that they are still only sold as Chaos.

Still! Boy Smart Dolls are not extinct yet! I will keep hope of buying a fully assembled one at some point!

I'm glad that he is considering reviving the boys line. I know that a lot of people here want a boy. 

Boys, and apparently he's gonna stick with this blue for a while. Yaaaaaay.

I'm really glad it sounds like he's going to keep making blue as long as people want it. I think it'll make a lot of people's doll dreams come true! Which is really nice, to be honest.

This is a camera recording the inside of the SmD store and offices during a 6.1 magnitude earthquake that hit Tokyo, Japan very recently. This was posted about 15-20 minutes ago on Twitter.

Argh, hope everyone there is OK!

Definitely the worst earthquake I've ever experienced. The strong shaking made the whole house creak and it was pretty scary. Luckily, it subsided quickly and in the end only a couple small things got knocked over - no injuries or any damage for me at least.

I was just playing with my girls, so I could quickly secure the ones I had in hand. The others held out surprisingly well in their stands.

Concerning the SmD employees.. They have been on vacation in Okinawa for some days now with some of their dolls (including a freckled Genesis). I do not know exactly how many days they have been out.

Concerning the SmDs.. I watched 3 girls take a plunge. I am sure there are others out of view that went down.

Even just with the telescope stand, SmDs can stand quite securely. Mine all managed to stay upright, so I'd recon quite a few in Mirai Store did as well.

I was always under the impression, the dolls out and about at Mirai Store were for display and development purposes only. I doubt they were ever intended for sale. Chaos bundles may be a different story, though.

Not that I would be opposed to a discounted dollie... 😋

I lived through the Lima Prieta quake which was a 6.9, and I can attest that anything around a six is big enough to make you never want to experience a bigger one.

I'm just on Insta, I don't pay attention to Twitter so that's fair game.

(Never been in an earthquake, never want to be in one. I'm bad enough about handling slight turbulence on a plane, having to deal with ground turbulence sounds even worse...) 

 

 

The new semi real Liberty is the second semi girl that I actually like. She's gorgeous. If it was another company, I'd be in trouble.
