I was thinking the same exact thing when it comes to school. You don't get to choose what to study until College/University and even then you have to take general requirement classes and pre-req classes before you start taking classes specific to your major. This whole blurb is extremely out of touch with the reality of most people. 

I think his heart was in the right place, just it was really poorly executed. Other's situations were not really taken into account. It also may be due to the fact that DC doesn't seem to really understand you can enjoy/like something while still being able to feel negative towards it. I hope another drama doesn't start because of this...

The optimist in me is hoping it’s a ‘social experiment’ for him to find out how many people buy something he explicitly tells them not...and he has his answer, they’re all sold out. 

The pessimist in me thinks less kind things, but the in between thinks this entire listing was made to screw with his ‘haters’ and create another buzz/get people talking.

Yeah, I'll stick with Fortuitous thanks, because then I at least know I'm actually getting a doll out of it.

Also, why were they all the same price? I feel like different risk tiers should have different prices.

He wouldn't actually sell rocks or whatever.... right? I know he usually does this kind of thing, were he'll list some choices and then offer them to people. The last one I saw was with colors, but this is just kind of... off.

The date says April but it was as recent as yesterday I think. There were people commenting in SDL that they got the other options because the first was sold out really fast. Also someone just got a confirmation from Danny asking if it would be alright to proceed with the order.

I need to confirm are you sure about the brave purchase?
You are likely to be highly disappointed and it is most likely that it's not a doll.

Seriously, do the hardcore fans have money trees? Can I get a seedling or a cutting or something? That's a lot of money to throw into the unknown. 

If it's not a doll and it costs as much as one, I... am incredibly curious what the hell he's shipping. Honestly, more than anything, even more than I wish he'd let some things go, I just wish Danny could be straightforward about things. Instead of selling random limb packs, just sell the parts. Instead of all of this cryptic mystery "TOMORROW" thing, just say what's coming up and when, or if there's a delay, say that; I adore these dolls but stuff like this exhausts me. And I admit I bristle at the FOMO of not having the disposable income to drop 500 dollars on random things on the chance it might be a doll I might want (THE CENTAUR.)

Is it really so much to ask for a little clarity?

Noooo, because that's what a NORMAL business would do, and we have to be EXCITING and DIFFERENT because idk maybe we don't think people will pay enough ATTENTION to us otherwise.

...Even though we make good products that could stand on their own without all the forced "controversial" stuff.

Dolls in colors

Actually the Tomorrow thing I think was a bit of a translation issue. My husband and read some broken Japanese, though not proficient at it and when I showed it to him he said the Japanese righting says Tomorrow but it isn't the Japanese word for tomorrow so it is more likely a name....which as it turns out was the case. In regards to the blind bags they are not my thing and I would absolutely not risk my money on it however some people eat that kind of thing up so I get why he is doing it. I would hazard to guess not every package will even be the same stuff. I kind of figure if I don't like it I don't buy it, oh well. I can see how it is frustrating though. 

More color variants - I love Independence in tea!

Cocoa Multiverse Chitose is lovely! I’ll probably get her when she releases. 

I've been waiting forever for Moment and now am realizing that her tea version is even prettier *sigh*. Time to wait some more. Cocoa Chitose is ultra gorgeous too. And, I have to agree, wtf was that risk taking page about. Every listing was sold out? Y'all. Get help. 

Wow...Cocoa Chitose is gorgeous. Maybe even prettier than the original cocoa, I think. I should stop looking.

Also the official explanation of why they're discontinuing milk (too much stress on company apparently) (are people really being petty about him trying not to overwork his employees or did he just get like one or two assholes saying that and now he's overreacting to everyone else who comes to him with legit questions because they don't know that the things they're asking for would overwork his employees it's hard to tell)...

Felicity looks SO GOOD in cinnamon. But I'm still hoping that he will make her available in tea. I would buy her in a heartbeat then.

I'm not surprised at all that milk is being discontinued. It was bound to happen sooner or later. Danny said himself that he prefers cinnamon and it makes little business sense to stockpile 2 skin tones that are very similar.

YES!!! I'm going to wait and buy Independence after the change has been made.

(Thank the maker I made a milk parts order at Tuesday. Might have been too late to make one now. I, too, knew this was coming. I'm sad to see the milk skin tone go. All my girls are hybrids, so... Better handle them with care.)
