2B Wig Tests

While I plan to have my 2B all in greys, whites and blacks I thought it would be fun to throw all my wigs on her and see how she looked. What I have learnt is that long haired 2B is the smex (and I'm more a 2B than A2 fan), lighter colors seem to work best (maybe cause of the outfit though) and I have some truly awful wigs I need to be rid of. My favourites were definitely the long grey and white.

Would love to see anyone else's wig tests of this gorgeous girl so we can all know what types of wigs to look out for.

Am I the only one that sees her as super yandere in this orange wig?

I LOVE this one... I had a feeling she'd look great in a straight dark wig like this.
The straight white one is my second favourite. They all give off such different moods it's like shes a different doll in every one.

@Monty Interesting that the dark one is your favourite! I love that wig but perhaps I just like it more on my other girl. Straight and long definitely seems to be the winning combo with her though!

2B really does change with every wig, I guess her face sculpt must react to the hair more or something (the lighting changing probably didn't help). It was strange but made the whole exercise more enjoyable for sure.

My absolute favourite trio.

She looks lovely in all colors, but yeah, seems like big hair is not the right look for her. The straight ones with a sleeker silhouette are definitely better for her.

I don´t know too much about beauty, but I think these wigs really benefit 2b. She has kinda a rounded face, and long hairs help to define a thinner aspect on her. And the fringe, ooooooh god, it makes her look even better. Not only because they cover the forehead, but, along the form of her eyes, help to make her look sober, misterious, and innocent at the same time. 

These wigs made me think volks could release the a2 and wig outfit in the future. But because of her bust size, probably won´t happen.

My favorites are the first test and the brown black ponytail (I believe from pengin’s) but the long pure white really fits her. The Kaede-2B and the Ram-2B are weird to me but the blondes fits her well too. Aaah, so many styles for her 😻

@Testament Nice to see some love for the orange! I was surprised how well that one worked with her. 

@Poofiemus I totally agree. I feel she gets lost in the larger wigs so sleek is better. I was considering getting her a cat style wig cause I love that type but now I worry it will have too much volume for her. 

@Pit Your post had me looking through the pics again and I realised there are like no fringeless wigs in the house. I kinda want to see one with no fringe now for contrast. Hope someone will post one!

I know nothing about beauty either but I think it all comes down to what you like. I agree with your idea of the long wigs but strangely for different reasons. I find her face quite thin and long and larger style wigs overpower the more feminine features of her face to me. I don’t see her as a round face at all. Interesting how people can see things so different!

As for A2 who knows. The bust is certainly the biggest roadblock to that so would be interesting if they did proceed with it. I believe it would be the first ever character outfit that didn’t fit the original doll?

@Singer Yuna The first test was actually the one I went back to in the end which was amusing. It’s such a bad quality wig though I may need to try and find a better quality replacement (it was from a Taobao lucky bag and I almost threw it out. Glad I kept it now). I’m not sure what pengin’s is? 

Funny you say Kaede and Ram style when those are not their defaults but I know what ones you mean and agree. Somehow those were a complete miss. I love that Kaede like one too, just not on 2B I guess. 

Attached a photo of the current look she ended in after all the tests. Somehow I couldn’t go back to short default just yet.

This is really helpful! I personally love the long white wig you've settled on. I'm excited to see some custom 2Bs since I like her face shape, but her eyes in particular aren't my favorite with the default faceup.

Thanks! It’s grey (very close to her default color) but I love it too. Her eyes can get a little piercing at times so I understand why people may not like them. I like how this wig softens her face up a little though. 

Definitely looking forward to seeing what people do with custom face ups on her as well.

I’m glad you went for that wig a little more. Sometimes the cheap ones give good results. From here I can’t tell the wig’s bad quality.

Haha glad to hear the quality isn’t so visible. I’ve managed to tame it for now but it’s a hot mess every time I take it out of its net. I need to stop being so scared and actually use product to style wigs though. A brush only gets you so far.
