My Lucy 2nd (on the right) has a custom face-up.  

If I'm keeping both, I think I'll need a second Towa wig.  

 

 

In the pictures, I can barely tell the Lucys' skintones apart. I can see it on the bodies but not the heads.

I was eyeing this one on Dollhearts' site the other day. Glad to see it better; I hate how their site's pictures are so small so you can't see anything in detail, and their watermark covers up so much.

You’re seriously the single most helpful person on this forum. You go out of your way to help others, even if they don’t ask. (Like I wake up and see Ram on Mandarake, buy her, then notice you had PMed me about her before; I just hadn’t noticed yet. If I wasn’t so compulsive about checking, I would’ve seen your PM first)

I'll have to order a pair...  I actually wanted to get the magical princess outfit for Lucy someday, and I got this unique custom face-up, so getting Lucy 2nd wasn't a waste.  Plus I could get her a DDF3 in the future, instead of hoping Cool Cat keeps making replacement frame parts.  

Anyone have thoughts on where to get some really nice DD glasses?  It's one of my Lucy's signature accessories.

There's also the Epoch Eyewear Collection, which are gacha eyeglasses that happen to be the right size. I've seen them on Mandarake and they're probably available somewhere else. I know they are what @Monty has on Mel and 9S. I found just searching for "Epoch" in the doll section turns them up on Mandarake. Perhaps they're on Yahoo Japan auctions as well but I haven't looked.

Oh hey!  I have some of those Epoch glasses!  DO NOT  leave the dark framed glasses on your dolls for long.

Seriously.  If you want glasses on a rare, expensive or one-of-a-kind doll, use light colored frames or a different brand.  Do not stain your doll's nose.  

^That's a worry I've always had and avoided glasses because of it, after I learned that hard plastics can stain too. I'm afraid of Miku's headphones for the same reason, especially since mine is a custom with blushed ears. I got her default outfit from Mandarake, but I've only had those headphones on once briefly to take a picture, and I tried to make sure they only touched fibers of the wig.

That reminds me about the Smart Doll glasses. I can't find the post now in searching, but @Sniiksnak had those make a dent on Rin Kagamine's head due to their weight/and or tension. I believe it was later mentioned it eventually came out, but still scary.

As they are resin, I don't know if they're more, or less, likely to stain.

Those Doll Heart outfits are gorgeous! I’ve always loved Lucy too. She was still kind of a recent release when I got into the hobby so you’d see more pictures  around, and she was one of the ones that defined what a DD looks like to me, that made me jump in.

Yeah...  It's more like 40%...  Somehow I've acquired 40 1/3 scale dolls.

I'm probably going to snag some body suits before I leave them on long term, but those Doll Hearts steampunk outfits are great!  

My history with Lucy is long.  The two I have now are my second and third Lucy heads.  I sold the first head due to trouble getting a body.  @mitsuki then found a near complete Lucy for a good price, so I bought that one, and sold the head.  And now I have semi-white Lucy.  I see Lucy as one of my main characters, along with Natsuki, Aoi, the F/SN gang, Mari and Kitty Kira.  Mari really needs to show up again, but I've lost interest in doing doll stories, and her mad scientist persona kind of works better in a story.

Your Rem and Mirwen look amazing. Those outfits are adorable. But for some reason... and I honestly cannot explain why... Lucy is just SOOOOOOOO CUTE. It’s a really basic outfit in comparison, but it just works so well that... idk. Adorable haha. Also sorry for the messed up way I quoted you Lmao.

Got a couple more Doll Hearts outfits.

This unicorn hoodie dress thingy seemed perfect for Lucy.  

I was able to squeeze ShibuRin into these TTYA jeans.  She's on a DDS single piece L bust.  

She can even sit in them.

I need her in my life. All your pictures are so cute. But Lucy stands out to me. Idk it might be the face. Sort of why I like Towa so much. There’s something special about her. 
 

oh and the unicorn hoodie is ADORABLE. Pink is my favorite color, so I’m even MORE jealous. Don’t bring her to Sakura Con or I’ll have to make you an offer you can’t refuse.

Lucy is affordable on Manda.  Not the original eyes or bust on that one, but a decent price.  I wouldn't buy just the head, unless you have a good lead on a white skin body.

Yeah, those are the Doll Hearts cut-off.  They're listed as fitting on DDdy, but I don't think that's happening.

I have those in DD & MSD size, and they're pretty nice. The MSD size fits DDP, but it's a tight fit.
