Volks USA webstore down?

When I go there now, I usually get a page with this banner:

That shows along with links to other Volks websites, and the text in the Firefox tab says "VOLKS USA, Inc. has changed URLs!" yet there is no indication of what that new URL might be.

If I refresh the page, sometimes it will stay busy for a while and then go to the store page as always.

When I click to the dollfie store from the volksusa main page, I reach the same thing you show above.  

Would have been nice if they had given any kind of warning.

Indeed. I had been procrastinating on ordering some outfits, plus having the expectation of a lottery for Ranko sometime soon.

I didn't see anything on their Facebook about this, but they seem to be back up now. It seems to be pretty slow, so I think they are just having technical issues.

Good.  I'd rather it be that than one of their historic spontaneous complete revamping of the website.

Edit: Just checked and it's still showing the message.  So they must still be working on it.

Oof, yeah, I noticed this. I placed an order from them last week and the website was extremely slow to respond the whole time, so I was wondering if the shutdown had something to do with that.

Who's DDoSing my doll company?! *shakes fist, hopefully sarcastically*

Ah, okay, they've posted to Facebook about it.

 

Still messed up. Earlier the main page was coming up and I could browse a bit then it'd randomly go back to that thing I posted up top. At this point I don't think I'd even try to order until they've clearly fixed whatever the issue is.

I'm still puzzled why the tab title on that page says the URL is changed.

It's been going down like that for me since Saturday or Sunday. In the page source it says it cannot connect to the database. I hope they get it resolved soon. >:

@cfx I think they just haven't updated their placeholder error page? Some websites make custom 404 pages and I think that's what that is.

They are still having server issues as of posting this. The page won't even load for me at all. I think its been about 5mins....

Checked again, still down. I hope it's operational by whenever they plan on doing the Dolpa 42 after event and lottery.

I'm sure we won't see a Dolpa release announcement until this is resolved.

Right; I was more thinking really that I hope they don't have to delay it from whenever previously planned due to this.

At least for sure the Ranko lottery will be after the Japan clickwar so I do get a second chance. For the amount of time they do the lotteries that was pretty certain anyway I suppose.

We probably weren't going to get any news on the new item front for the USA store until Jan 20.  Probably not until 24th at the earliest.

It's been off and on for the past couple of days.  

I see that it seems to be crapped out again now. I hadn't been able to access more than a single page until earlier so I got excited over nothing.

Dammit.  I guess I should have placed my order earlier when it was working.  I just couldn't decide if I wanted to add an outfit or not.

On their FB page, they just announced that Arle and Ranko will have their own link up soon, and it looks like it'll be a lottery from Feb 1-10th. I take it they expect this to be fixed by then.

Maybe this is fixed; I've been able to access the site consistently today and it's not being sluggish.

Seems to be completely down now. I was looking at various items there earlier, and a few hours ago I started just getting the spinning busy thing in the browser; I don't even get the error page that I was getting before, and I see my picture up there in the first post isn't showing up either.

Back up again but I was having issues a few days back also. Was checking the prices of the f3 bodies and of course its cheaper to buy from Japan too... sad. 

It's working for me now too. As I posted that last one during the night, perhaps they were doing maintenance. I noticed later one of the pages ended up taking me to the Super Dollfie portion of the store, and that side seemed to be working unlike the DD portion.

I generally buy anything I can from Volks Japan for this reason. Items usually get to me in about the same amount of time as well.

I'm getting that error page again. I hope by February 1st when the Arle and Ranko lottery start that this will be fixed.

I was able to log in briefly, but my order page showed only a cancelled lottery order, and nothing else I've ever bought. I know it typically does that when there's an active lottery, so maybe it'll just stay down til 2/1?
