Omg she's so beautiful, I'm in love! 😍 Is she the Rise sculpt?

I still say that Rise is pretty dull unless she's been repainted, given different eyes and a bigger bust.  EVERY single one I've seen a custom of is simply amazing.  And yours is no different, she's gorgeous!  Everything about her looks awesome.

Different tastes for different folks, some of us think the DDH-01 head only looks great on an MDD body 🤣 I happen to love OG Rise with her default body, custom Rises on other bodies, heck, all Rises... Rise is just an amazing sculpt who always looks good -- and looks downright amazing in Subaru's talented hands.

Of course, I'm one of those folks who owns a "dull"  Rise with her default face-up and default bust and loves her exactly as she is. 😉

I just love everything about this photo. The lighting, the posing, the styling, it's all so amazing ❤️

I certainly didn't mean to be rude to any "dull" Rise owners with my opinion but it is *my* opinion.  😉  And everyone is certainly entitled to their own opinions of any and all DD heads.  I was merely trying to say that her default state doesn't grab my attention at all but once she's been redone in one way or another, the mold comes alive and really shows how good it is.

 

We all know Volks stock photos for their girls suck.  Many a time we've seen a girl look "okay" in their pics but once she's in owners hands and they take GOOD photos of her, it's a full 180 on everyone's opinions. And Subaru's photo does just that..... it proves that not only does a good photo do wonders for a girl, changes to Rise make her come alive and look beyond beautiful.  

 

Subaru is one of the most talented artists out there.  I own two girls painted by Subaru and I think they're gorgeous.  And so is the Rise above.  A stunner really.  The Rise head isn't the issue, it's the default Volks setup she comes with that made me not like her originally.  But after seeing people change her look and swap her to a more curvy body, she made me change my mind big time.  😄 

 

So anyways, I'm not hating on people who like the default Rise.  I'm just voicing my opinion on how much better Subarus' looks with the changes.

I second that.

I was having so much fun giving Billy a hard time for being a guy that I forgot to say anything about Subaru's Rise. She is awesome, and Subaru's photo's are always wonderful to behold.

I feel the same way about Towa. I'm not at all a fan of the Volks default, but @jadepixel's custom Towa face-up turns her into a whole different girl and I love that look for her.

The great thing about Volks dolls is the way they are tailor made for customization, and Volks never ever gives people @%$# if they blank a default face-up and repaint them.

 

@Subaru Hot damn your Rise is stunning. Probably the most beautiful I've seen and the fashion styling is spot on too.

Rise's face-up is mostly default but I just redid her brows and added a little blush.

I was in love with her default make-up but I think some of the color faded over time. I can't believe she's almost 9 years old at this point!

I don't care for Rise or the the 22 head, but dang, Subaru does it again!  I plan to have Subaru do up a couple heads for me when I'm ready and know what I'm looking for.

All the girls here are so cute. The problem is that when I see so many amazing dolls, I want them too! If I could win the lottery today, I would probably spend it on dolls.

Aww thanks guys. I’m kinda too sporadic and not really consistent haha... Maybe one day I’ll get around to making some more “pre-mades” or something.
