miffimifster Posted February 16, 2020 (edited) Hi all! I'm returning to the vinyl doll fold... I just found this new version of the forum today. 😄 Back in 2016 I owned a lovely Dollfie Dream DDS Mariko (Festival ver.), that I had bought from Yahoo!Japan:   The above was my first Flickr post of her, when she arrived in April 2016. However, regretfully, I sold her in the fall of 2016, to fund a Dollshe order (Bermann re-release). I've missed her ever since... So, last week I took the plunge on Yahoo!Japan, yet again, and BOUGHT her again! I just paid for her today on Noppin.com, and I'll be requesting shipping shortly... When I sold Mariko, all her stuff went with her (eyes and wig, plus a dress). I have a pair of resin eyes on the way now, that I'm going to try on the new purchase, and I'm planning to reach out to a good faceup artist friend (local), to re-paint her for me. She'll come with her full-set Festival ver. wig and outfit, once again, but I'm still on the lookout for a new wig for her, and some more items... This is very exciting, and I'm happy to get this girl back and re-join this community. I hope that the doll's condition is decent, as she appears to have had more play/use. Wish me luck! Beani Posted February 20, 2020 Welcome! Mariko is such a gorgeous girl so it’s great to hear you were able to adopt her again. Fingers crossed for good condition on the doll!

She arrived on Feb 27, 2020, but I've been quite sick for over 2 weeks for doing photos. However, the good news is that she came to me in excellent condition, considering that she is second-hand, and not a brand new doll (5 years since the Festival release?). I'll post pics soon. 😄  On 2/22/2020 at 10:53 AM, Keery said: Very cute! I know, right? I found out about the BJD hobby 14 years ago now, but only got interested in DD's about 10 years after that... I still feel quite obsessed though...It's a beautiful hobby, and I don't get tired of it. 😄
