iichigo Posted April 15, 2020 So i was possing my doll for a picture today, and this was the second time ive ever taken her out of the box let alone pose her for a picture, and i noticed that her left thigh came off, i didnt think much of it since you can push the it back on, but i noticed that the piece that came off wouldnt go back on... then i look even closer and it looks broken. (i dont know i could be wrong since im a noob to vinyl dolls) could anyone help please?? if she is broken do they sell these pieces separately or would i have to buy a whole internal skeleton ?? Testament Posted April 15, 2020 Mmmmmmh I don't think you broke something. The leg's structure is this: Depending on how tight is the joint, when you disassemble the leg the "stick" part can stuck in the knee or in the other end. Maybe, just maybe, it's only a matter on aligning the piece in order to dock the stick in the right hole, sometimes the stick goes between the skin and the receiving end. Or... the receiving end is loose. You can disassemble the leg easily, cause I suppose your AP is a soft skin, so the thigh won't be a problem to slide away.
Cauldroness Posted April 15, 2020 Probably not broken! Sometimes the pieces are really tight and you need to do a lot of twisting to get pieces into the appropriate spots. 1 Doll Photos & Doll Jewelry Sales: Follow me on Instagram!

Tierparkzone Posted April 16, 2020 Is your AP on a 48cm body? They have slightly shorter shins than the 50cm bodies - the Plastic rods that are the shin bones are therefore usually shortened factory side which may leave the top side looking fairly rough. So I do not think that you broke the shin bone. Also there is no residue of a broken upper part of the rod stuck inside the hip joint. My AP at first also liked to pop out her thighs quite frequently. Then I pulled the thigh rods out from the knee joint by about half a cm - they sit way tighter in there (compared to the hip joint) so the extra space is not really an issue. The gain in length then allows more of the thigh rod to fit inside the hip joint, securing it a lot better. I got that idea from a similar discussion (likely in the VMF50 & Angel Philia Discussion Thread) but I can't seem to find the exact posts... K-2 Posted April 19, 2020 I concur with Tierparkzone. Probably too much thigh bone in the knee joint, not enough in the hip joint.
