Regarding credit card issues with Volks Int'l, I have found that my Citibank Visa will work with no problems. However, my Bank of America Visa will not.  I just wanted to put that out as a point of information, in case you have either of those cards.

I'll be signing up for the membership, so that will give me an additional "test run" for my card. However, I used the Citibank card about 4 months ago on Volks Int'l for a MDD and a couple of outfits without a problem. This was after the website "upgrade."

I think that makes sense. I would imagine it's very risky to work on a ship, and potentially get sick en route, and then be refused entry or medical care in your next port of call.

No, no, not surface/sea mail. I think it stands for Surface Air Lift; anyway it's surface mail over land, but airplane between countries. It's lower priority than EMS or airmail (and cheaper) and presumably the main issue with it going forward is the likely continuing reduction in the number of consumer airline flights, and much (all?) of this mail travels that way. So the limited space will be devoted to EMS and airmail instead of SAL until/unless flights return to something like they used to be is probably the thinking.

It's the main way to get things shipped by Mandarake, Amiami, CDJapan, etc. if it's smaller/cheaper items and you don't want the shipping to be half the cost of the item or more. Something like a blu-ray can be shipped from Japan to the US by unregistered SAL for around 1000 yen or less if I recall. I usually get these packages in 4-6 weeks, but a lot of that seems to be because my packages enter then country in NY, as I know west coast residents get them quite a bit quicker.

So I'm seeing the time for when the sale ends, but not when it begins- should I expect the sale to start at midnight on June 6th in Japan (so 11:00 am tomorrow, EST)? 

I can't find anything that gives a time; I'd expect it to possibly start on June 6th 0:00 Japan time; i.e. midnight on June 5th.

As a time doesn't seem to be stated anywhere of course it could be later. While I can't remember for sure, don't the clickwars usually start later like around 10AM?

Since there are ~6 days to order and they don't give the time, maybe it starts whenever they are ready lol. I fully understand why you want to order as soon as possible though.

I remember it saying that it would start at midnight/june 6th 0.00 hours Japan time. But checking it again I also don't see a starting time anymore. I do think it was midnight since I calculated what time I need to be ready to try to get her asap lol! Since it's a 7 hour time difference 😅

Yeah it was always a lot later in the day for me, at least Moon/Mars/Mercury were all around 7pm EST so I'm surprised by the midnight time lol

Checking now, the Volks USA event omits a starting time as well, and gives an ending time of 4PM PST on the 12th.

That adds to my feeling that they'll start <whenever> lol.

Looks like my card works, the 1 yen verification charge went through and it prompted me for a one time passcode.  Hopefully it works fine in the morning.  

Apparently I got a stock notification for Jupiter at 5am (EST) but that would still be the 5th in Japan, and she's not available at the moment. I wonder if she was up for sale for a short period and then taken down again?  Weird. 

It's 8 past midnight in Japan, still no sign of Jupiter- I guess they really will be listing them 'whenever' lol

They sent a tweet saying they are accepting reservations, but so far no stock.

What BeyondTime says. Also I can easily navigate the dollfie website on my phone without delays but on the computer I can't get in lol 😅

I'm assuming that means they should be available for order, but are just delayed or something?

It's the reverse for me.

They just deleted the tweet, looks like there is some kind of delay. ugh

Now I can't enter on phone also anymore 😅 maybe they have difficulties also with how busy it is. I think lots of people also want the SD boys

They probably can't properly access their own website for the traffic aha. I can't get in and have been trying periodically for about 25 minutes now

Edit: yes if the boys are also going to be available now, I would imagine that's the biggest source of traffic right now

So far I can't enter anything so mostly checking twitter but no news there. Maybe it would have been better to separate the SD and DD pre orders? 🤔 gonna keep an eye on it but not refreshing every minute. Don't want to add even more load on the website lol😂

It may be something tied to the earlier mix up with the stock notification.

I wonder if there might have been a mix up with the start date/time when it was programmed to go live and now they're trying to adjust it? I only have basic browser/website programming knowledge so I'm just guessing 😅

The announced on twitter that they aren't announcing the start time for orders so as to avoid overcrowding.

Twitter update! Seems they wont say the starting time because of site traffic but how will that help when everyone wants their order in NOW 😅😀
