Wow, Bastet is stunning! That dress and wig look like they were made for her 😄

Time for the traditional Christmas pics. I pretty much only put the tree up to use as a backdrop these days.

Featuring the pink Dearmine Bean I got earlier this year:

I got Meito new eyes recently too. I did also get him a new wig, but for the second time I wasn’t satisfied with how it looked on him, so back to the default again.

 

It's been a minute...or a year.

Here's some pics from 2022! I didn't take as many of the DDs cos I was distracted by my other dolls but there are a few I like.

Rin and Arle in the Candy Pop dresses - I still cant settle on a permanent look for Arle and this one was very short-lived, but its cute.

Rin on her 'birthday' - not the Kagamine Rin birthday but the anniversary of when I first got her. She turned 6 last year! She was my first, so I'm kinda ??? that I've been in this hobby that long already. Her present was some eyes from CP Works. I still really like her defaults though. Also bokeh on a gaming PC makes a good background lol.

I'm a big fan of the recent detective outfits, the SDM/MDD one looks great on Tilo (but then again nearly everything does)

And now for the first DD pics of 2023, I finally opened the outfits I got way back in September and let Luka and Miku go on a date in them. This was also the first DD pic taken with my new camera too. It's easier for me to take pics with the Nikon ZFC compared to the Nikon D3300 I was using before, so maybe I can start taking more pics again.

 

Your Rin has always made me want Rin, and that wig is perfect for Luka. Short haired Miku is great too. Short hair has always been a great way to focus on the face, and Miku has such a cute face.

I always thought a more candy pink suited Luka more. I'm really not fond of the 'metallic salmon' pink they went with for her full-set cos I rarely see her depicted that way (even her box art has it candy pink lol.....). This one is from Msire, who I have a lot of wigs from.

I hope you'll be able to get a Rin now that she's being rereleased. I think everyone should have one, but I am a little biased there.

It’s been ages again! Once again my DDs don’t seem to get a lot of attention lately, but there’s a few photos I took over the past year that I haven’t posted here.

Starting with Arle’s many looks:

A nice one of Meito. Sadly Meito may not be with me much longer since I will need to downsize again soon, but I still like this picture.

Also some of Kaito!

This one I specifically took for the DD 20th anniversary, representing my first and most recent DDs.

I also changed his eyes.

Lastly, last year I bought one of the official Miku wigs. I did own a second hand one but it wasn’t in great shape so I had been wanting a new one for a while. My Miku came to me in pieces rather than as a full doll, which is why she had that short Mikuzukin wig for so long. It was meant to be temporary but I liked it too much. However, I do really like her default Miku look too, so shes had this wig on a while now. This one I took for Miku Day earlier.

and this one was the other day as a small tribute to the song magnet by minatoP, which turned 15 years old this month!

I have limited funds and even more limited space, and don’t actually like having too many dolls. It actually stresses me out having too many, so recently I’ve sold ones I’ve decided I don’t mind losing. So far it’s been my 9S and my DDH09. 
In the past, I did buy a few dolls due to FOMO, but recently I want to be more particular/strict. This way, if a doll I *have* to have (ie a grail rerelease or new doll of a beloved character) suddenly gets announced, it’s a lot less stressful when I have an open space for them (not to mention the funds). 
As for what happened to the dolls I sold, I am hoping they are in homes where they get more attention and appreciation than what I gave them lol.

Oh, I completely understand that. Space, time, money and love are always such things. 
If you have too much, it can really become stressful.

Not gonna lie, I was expecting the full monty. Nice pics, though!

September marked my 8th anniversary since I got my first DD, Rin, so she got some new photos on the detective outfit from a little while back. I decided to go back to her default eyes as I prefer them to the others I’ve put in her.

I’ve also been trying to find a look for Kaito and settled on this, mix and matching some various Volks outfit pieces.
