I swear I forgot I bought her.

I've been poking around pics here,  looking at everyone's gorgeous  dolls, and then a few standards at VolksJapan and Google, etc, and one doll kept jumping out at me because she just looked so familiar, and....

OMG I bought a DD standard Mirai* from VolksUSA a year ago and completely forgot I have her! 🙀

How the frak did I forget I own this doll? I'm glad I put her away in light, loose jammies, and out of the sun. Good thing dolls are so forgiving. 

Although she rather looks like she's about to yell at me...or strangle me. 😉

*I thought she was Candy, but she's Mirai in a blond wig. Thank you, #GlassColoredRoses and #cfx!!

That poor girl!  I'm really glad you got her out of the closet and have set her free!  andy is so pretty and looks like a lot of fun.  And don't worry, as long as you spoil her with clothing and shoes, she'll forgive you.  😉

All the girls are having a pizza party to celebrate Mirai, so she's forgiven me, because PIZZA. And Mountain Dew (their size cups and bottles--they'll be up and dancing for a long while--whee caffeine!). We've all been playing with the clothes and wigs bins, and tomorrow I promised  an online shopping splurge for our prodigal dollie. I know what I must do to make amends. 😇

Maybe? 😸 I swear I can't remember! Okay, just checked: they're the eyes she came with, still have the factory hot glue setting.

The more I look at the VolksJP pics and charts, the more I think she's actually a Mirai in a blond wig! I don't keep boxes, so I can't go dig it up. The eyes, skin color, and faceup match Mirai, and I would have swapped out and sold an L shapely bust if she'd had that. Her bust is S, like my others. Well, damn! In my defense, it's the same head mold as Candy. Don't laugh, I'm old. 🤣 I made corrections in my posts/comments.

Yeah it's Mirai. Candy has those large and distinctive "wingtip" eyelashes that point fairly downward.

Anyways, she looks happy to be out of the closet not angry or about to strangle you though. If I were you I would go buy/make her some new clothes.

I've literally had dreams where I have a box of misc. BJD parts and suddenly realize I can put the heads and bodies together in a way that means I suddenly have 2-3 more full dolls than I thought, but unfortunately I've never had such a realization (or that many spare parts) IRL. It's awesome that you found her! Was she put somewhere hard to see or did she just blend in with your other dolls? I'm curious about the process of finding her, and I'm glad she is able to be appreciated now. Seconding what others said about you owing her some goodies! 😛

She's been amply rewarded! The real truth is that I have entirely too many dolls (I have a Pinterest board named just that!), of all kinds, and every now and again, a few get put away from organizing, and then gets forgotten in the shuffle. Now I know to go through those boxes on a regular basis. She's now happily causing trouble with her sisters, as it should be. I set them to the task of organizing sewing supplies....and now I can't find my pincushions. Of course. 😸

Yay! She got new clothes and she looks happier now! 😍

I'm glad she's happy! And yeah I know how it is with lots of dolls, especially with little space. While my collection isn't *that* big I recently had to put away some of my larger dolls and plan to rotate them out for which get attention and photoshoots. It's actually been somewhat of a relief not to have them all out at once though. Oh! And be careful about those pincushions, it's just a small step from pincushions + sewing supplies to... voodoo doll of negligent human + credit card, lol. I hope you're right and she forgives you or revenge might be at hand! xD

She's absolutely adorable.... I really like her and Candy. I wonder if their heads would be too big for a MDD body?

@lucidium I actually just put my mirai head on a DDP, and I think it is a great match.

I'm not as keen of her on an MDD body, but not because of size.(She is a little smaller then my DDH-01) I find her features just don't quite mesh or seem too mature. If anyone is really keen to see it I can suck it up and do a head swap 😜

When it was just the first picture you posted, I thought the same thing.  I thought, "oh, someone else who has a blue eyed Candy."

Amber (my DD Candy) was standing just over to the right of me when I saw the pic, and that first pic made them look the same.

But the later pictures make her look distinctly different.  It blows my mind how the different photos make it look almost like a different sculpt and that she's changing her expressions.

In the first pic, she was angry and upset, and in the second, happy and placated. 😇 Actually, I think it was a big change in lighting, and getting her mussy hair combed.
