Saber Artoria - Questions

Recommended Posts

Ekidonia

Hi guys !

I would like to know if artoria's outfit and armor could fit a DD3 s bust body ?

I wanted to make a custom saber but with original outfit.

If you also know if the outfit could fit DDdy waist, it would be great ❤ (I was planned to put a S bust on the DDdy body)

Thanks your answers !

It’s a very tight fit on DDS, so I don’t think it would be a good fit.

Original Blue Saber's outfit should fit.

Hello!!

tagging on BeyondTime's reply, with original Saber's outfit comment.

The OG Saber was a DD2 body M-bust, and her outfit was a tiiiiny bit too small on DD3 M-bust. Her armor was also much MUCH more troublesome than the newer release. The chest plate refused to stay closed even when placed on the desk, nevermind over layers of fabric. The boot peg things were fickle on DD2, and absolutely got stuck (the death-grip lvl of stuck) in DD3. The hip-plates were much heavier (there's no lil hinge joints to pose them up dramatically), and the lil belt could barely keep them up. Hell, the only way the hip armor can even look cool, is by virtue of a very full petticoat under the dress struggling to stay uncrushed

.....if you can track down the original girl's outfit, it should be alright on newer S-busts
but but but From-Sen also has an excellent replica available --> http://from-sen.com/shopdetail/000000043104/011/O/page1/order/

I may will have both new and old sets so maybe a mix : old dress and new armor could be fine ?

Do you think it could be good ?

Its always worth a mix-and-match try at least! It sounds like at least half the armor from new set could work really well

The new dress had wiring in seams for dramatic posing, the old dress had terrible cheap velcro on the back. The new dress has embroidered hemline on the white under-dress to look closer to game art, the old dress had darling eyelet lace instead
The old armor was designed to look scratched up and used, the new armor has high-heeled boots!

But do keep in mind most important bit - newest stuff was made for a slightly shorter DD-S girl. Couple centimeters doesn't sound like a lot... until it suddenly does ;_;

Thank you very much !

Well, I'll try it when I will have both sets.

I'll put pics here.

If the dd3 s doesn't fit, well... I'll sell the body for a dds one !

Now.... I need to wait until the end of self isolation time.

The pieces from the new set that I don’t think are going to work are the chest armor and possibly the legs. The chest armor barely stays closed on the DDS-S over the clothing. The leg armor also has issues staying secure, but I don’t find it to be right. It’s just hard to pose her legs without it coming loose. The girdle that holds the tassets uses Velcro, so it’s a bit adjustable, but the limit is it has to support the weight of the armor.

I put her boots on Asuna, and they fit Asuna’s leg pegs loosely but didn’t fall of.

You can also use a DDS bust for the mod with the DDdy hips. That's the setup that my Yuki uses, only with a DDS M bust.

Sorry I totally missed the bit about DDDy. I honestly don't know how the new Saber dress would look on DDDy hips, but I am doubtful that the dress is going to look right in that scenario. I think it's not going to hang correctly. Hips seem to me like they would be a very critical measurement for ladies dresses.

An excellent observation, but hips on fuller skirts can absolutely get away with less precision

Altho!! Guys we been missing an obvious thing here - Balldylox has a Saber dress, and Dynamite girls!! Perhaps if asked nicely he could do a quick test

PS: this is probly a useless observation by now, but the thing about older Volks outfits isn't fact it was velcro closing it per se, just fact it somehow got 'flat' and useless with age. If that makes sense

Ha ha!  NEVAHHHH!!!!

Actually I don't have any S-busts available to try onto a DDdy lower half but I do have a modded M-bust I could try the Saber Arturia set on.  I have the newer version tho which is designed for the DDS body so I am highly doubtful it will sit right on those big DDdy hips and thighs.  But I'll try and get something together tomorrow to show y'all.  😉

I thought you had Arturia? I was thinking put her DDS-S on the DDDy so the bodice fit, and that would allow the dress far enough on to show the hip fit.

Oh yeah, I keep forgetting she's an S-bust now.  Still, I don't want to take her apart so I'll just use the M-bust.
