MDD Mochi-Ashi

@BeyondTime I used to collect resin dolls before I did vinyl, and 'SD' has evolved into a catch-all term used for any 1/3 60cm doll-related item, so it's no longer Volks specific. Sure, it might be a rumor, but until Volks themselves or a Mochi-Ashi owner say otherwise, I'm going to assume there's no way those super chubby feet are MSD (40cm)-sized for now. 🤷‍♀️

It looks like the feet on the Mochi-Ashi in the middle are the same length as Arle's, but a bit plumper. It looks like an MSD shoe fit to me.

Their photos show a pretty good first look at the Deka hands vs normal ones, too!  They're pretty adorable, but I'm personally going to need to see all the hands compared before I can decide which I'll prefer.  The original MDD hands are so cute on their own, but I do love the larger normal DD hands for their added detail, so I suspect I'll feel the same way for MDD, too.

I'm sort of hopeful the Deka MDD hands might give some options for DDP since I personally find DD hands too big and MDD hands too small. I'm hopeful I will find them proportional 

@mukyuu No question about that. It's a different sculpt from the MDD foot, being fatter and wider than the regular MDD foot. Even the big toe and pinkie toe have been re-sculpted, too. Very cute touch.

@KandyDoll Ahhh, thank you so much for these! I'm very happy to see that the Mochi-Ashi isn't that much shorter than the regular MDD body. My want intensifies! 🥰

Dream Choice exclusive? Nuuuuuuuuuu

I really really hope the Mochi-Ashi follows the path of the DDP and winds up standard, instead of staying in Dream Choice for ages like the DDB/DDSB. 

Otherwise, I might resort to something strange, like getting a full Dream Choice with a proxy and then divying up the parts amongst other projects, lol. 

Ahhhhhh, that DCH 21 in tan with elf ears and the new body is awesome, and is exactly what I would've built were I in Japan. Hmm, but the 21 head probably will remain a Doll Point exclusive, so if i really wanted one I would either have to get a proxy or see if I could save up to go to Japan.

Those leggs are way too cute. All i can do is sob and hope one day you can buy them online.

Oh man, they are too cute! I definitely want one of these for my first Dollfie, I don't mind waiting until they're widely available. :3

It's nice to see new body options.  But I can only think of one acceptable reason for this new body's creation.

I can see them doing that, but my money is still on Chibi-Usa.

 

 

It's kind of a shame, seeing the full nude doll now makes me wish they had at least made a wider hip part. It just doesn't look cohesive, like they took legs off a different doll and put them on a MDD. Definitely still cute when clothed, but it could be a little limiting for some people or outfits.

@OccultBeast Well, they did say in the video that only the legs and feet are different, not the torso. And I actually don't mind it. I'm rather fond of the different, chubby leg sculpt.

Yeah the skinny lower torso leading to the very thick thighs is very...abrupt and not-great looking imo. I get they probably did that to increase clothing compatibility, but it would have been way better if the lower torso were widened so that the hips and thighs would have a more gradual curve. 

I'm surprised. I thought they were chubby. I see why photos of the above instagram pic shows her with leg warmers. The cankles are really eye catching and not in a good way 😮 Still cute, but definitely not my thing. 

I agree, the legs are super cute but I feel like they don't match the torso...

Is that blond MDD really MDD...? Her legs look longer than mochi-ashi's. And longer than Arle's legs too.

Seems to be MDD! Mochi-ashi is just that much shorter! (I don't know how to explain Arle though.)

And those feet are HUGE, just for the record. I think Selenae is right. SD sized shoes are probably right ones for those feet.

They're cute! I think a different torso piece would've looked a bit nicer but it'd probably be covered up well enough with clothing. I don't know if I'll be getting one, since the size isn't really my thing. I'd love to see more owner photos though!
