MDD Mochi-Ashi

Where can I find shoes to properly fit my Mochi girls chubby feet? 😅

Oh man, I hope the legs and feet get sold separately soon. I want to make this hybrid, it looks perfect.

I love the hybrid! Thank you for posting this comparison... i saw it on their insta stories but it's so nice to have this here for reference! This is the post that convinced me to buy a DDP waist in semi-white... When it comes in, I just have to try and dye it to match my girl's tan! (If anyone has any pointers for dying semiwhite to mdd tan, please let me know... i'll probably also make a thread about this journey)

Little note about the DDP hybrid - you have to cut quite a bit off the waist to get it to fit. I can't speak to how well the piece "sits".

Thank you! I have heard about that as well... I have a knife, sandpaper, and files, I am ready to do this slow and steady :3 and of course, I'll always have the original waist as well, in case I don't like how the DDP hybrid turns out.

But I did manage to get to an order confirmation, so I THINK I actually got a Flesh skin Mochiashi for Asphodel! They still also had the white SD13boy tuxedo and the mini size Spica Alchemist so I threw those in too. I regret nothing!

Worth getting awake for since now the website seems down constantly for me 😐 I think that is my cue to go back to bed (3 in the morning here LOL)

I was also able to get a semi-white mochiashi! Her head is here already... my first DD!

I managed to get a flesh-skin Mochi-Ashi for my Arle, I'm sooo happy!!!

omg... i totally forgot to set a reminder for myself to buy the mochi-ashi body today... i only remembered because i saw the money i put away to buy one...

 

luckily the bodies are still in stock, though semi-white was marked as being low on stock. i bet if i'd remembered tomorrow they would've been all gone though... i also ordered some regular mdd feet for her, since there's no way the bigger feet will fit in the shoes i already modified for this character. i'm super excited to get another vinyl girl!!

here's hoping for a quick arrival, this poor sweet ddh-10 has waited long enough lol

I managed to get a SWS mochi ashi body for a 10 head and the melancholic outfits/socks/ita bag in the sale! So this makes 2 mochi ashi for me now ^^;

if (big if) the flesh bodies are still in stock at the end of next week when I get paid I’ll get one for my poor Arle head whose body was stolen by another doll when mochi ashi were first revealed haha. I had a feeling SW was going to go quickly so I jumped on it as I’ve had a character in mind for one for some months now and it looks like my hunch was right considering they’re low stock now.

Wow! I'm glad that there was enough stock to go around for this initial release! 
I'll be looking forward to everyone's mochi ashi girls in the future!

I for one, welcome our new thick legged overlords. 

I also managed to snag the mochiashi body in SW! But I forgot to order the DWC-01 in my excitement.

 

I only saw afterwards the idea to mod a DDP lower torso piece to fit with the mochiashi legs, and from the one picture I saw, it looks like a fantastic fit. I would love to see if any of you do end up attempting this. It's on my list of "to-do" projects as well.

Since I lost the dollfie Icon lottery I decided to get another mochi-ashi body since I got 3 floating heads at the moment (1 DWC-01(fresh) and 2 DDH-01(SW) lol). So I ordered the SW one which means atleast 2 of them get to have bodies hehe. It also means that I will have all skin tones of mochi-ashi once the tan DCH20 from the Dcoord lottery arrives 🤪

I'm kinda surprised they are still in stock since I was ready to fight for them last weekend at 3 in the morning LOL. Maybe they have a lot of them?

Yeah, I was surprised they were still in stock, too--grateful, because I ordered the wrong skintone and thus had to cancel and reorder, but surprised.

I think they 1, anticipated them being popular, and 2, know they'll be standard so don't mind as much that they're not all sold and taking up stock room space. They're supposed to be in stock on a regular basis so having some left over isn't a huge deal.

Still glad I got one already anyway though, I'm tired of Abby and Asphodel sharing a body.

I saw a thread on Twitter suggesting that collectors in Japan were less interested in them due to the non-standard foot size, though that's just anecdotal. It does seem unusual since new released bodies/busts do tend to sell out right away in cases I can recall.

I got a mochi-ashi semi white body during the chaos of the click war. Now that the war is over I was trying to find the striped socks the mochi-ashi was wearing in the promo photo. Is it somthing not released yet? I've seen the alice dress set before just not those socks.

You may have issues with the fit of MDD outfits that have pants. If they don’t list DDP as a fit, then getting the pants over the butt may not work out. 

Yay!! My first dollfie!!! Just ordered the semi white skin for my custom girl!

Do you think there’s any chance that volksusa won’t get them eventually?

My girl is being delivered today, and I have a variety of MSD and SD shoes i can try on and get back to you guys with!

Thanks, I'd appreciate any info on what works!

 

Here's my findings--unless the SD shoes are super small, they won't work for mochi ashis. Anything open up top for MSD/MDD should probably fit, but enclosed shoes or boots are probably out (not to mention anything intended for slim MSDs). I think your best bet is to look for stuff that would fit the "big baby" dolls that some resin bjd companies have. I'm apparently a shill for Luts, but their Kid Delf and Baby Delf lines of shoes could be a good starting point to check out.
