MDD Mochi-Ashi

Wow, these are adorable! I'm a little worried that they won't fit into much, because I've already got a doll (off topic Picco Neemo) who barely fits into anything.

MDD equivalent of a DDS is exactly what I was thinking. The only issue I see with this is that DDS get DD clothing unless it's a limited doll with an outfit designed for her.

Ugh, they were only announced a few days ago and I keep checking for updates on them. I won't be able to get one asap when they come out but I need to see more! 😭

@CuteOne I know, right? I'm especially curious about what the lower half of the new body looks like. I also want to see the grey-eyed cutie in more eyes/wigs because I am completely in love with her. 😭

@Nyx Whitestar Thank you for the comparison shots! I agree, she definitely reminds me a lot of Arle, which is also probably why I love her so much.

i cannot cope with the cute little chunky legs... i've already put the money away for a body... my ddh10 is finally going to get a body after like a year lol

i'm going to be obsessively checking for news until these guys come out. i'm excited to get a better look at the body! i wonder if the torso pieces will be different at all?

I can't handle the cute factor of the chubby baby legs at all. I just bought a new girl and I was gonna put any more doll buying on hold for the forseeable future, but this... *sigh* kind of wrecks that plan.

My normal skin DDH-01 still needs a body so this is perfect.

They're really cute! But as the owner of Volks DearSD and SDC I'm nervous about how they'll support parts and outfits for a body like this. 

I'm guessing they have the same bust and arm parts with a plumper abdomen and leg parts. Also looks like the feet maybe use DD-size shoes? That'd be consistent with DearSD.

They state in the video that the torso and arms are all regular MDD pieces; the legs are the only parts that are different.

I kinda wish they would show the body naked like all the other DD Base Bodies...

@jadepixel If it does turn out that these Mochi-Ashi girls can wear DD/SD-sized shoes, my wallet is toast. I've always wanted a smaller vinyl doll who could wear the gorgeous heels I see everywhere for the 60cm dolls.

Most likely they will fit MSD sized shoes.

@BeyondTime I don't know about that. Looking at the photos, the Mochi-Ashi feet are much, much fatter than my MDD's feet. They appear to be longer, too, but that could be the angles playing tricks on my eye. (Not a typo.)

They might be a bit thicker or it just looks like that cause of the thicker legs? 🤔 Time to inspect the feet of my girls when I'm back home from work LOL 😂 

I do think that maybe DD shoes would look to big for them seeing as they are a bit smaller in length than the regular MDD.

Volks! Comparison photo's please we need to know the feet size! 😂😂

I have MDD shoes for my DDPs, and SD / SD16 shoes for my DD & SD16s. The size difference is considerable.

I was thinking the same thing. If DDP takes MSD sized shoes, then I can't imagine the Mochi Ashi body taking larger than MSD either

I absolutely love this new body! I'm really looking forward to continued information as they move towards actually releasing it.

I cannot wait for this body to be released and I am with you all in that I would like to see the full body.  I have been wanting to get a tan MDD somehow (probably a proxy if I can find a good one that is not over the top expensive ;D), so this little body is just perfect! I love it and it fits with what I am looking to add to my collection.  I hope we get a release date soon.

I’m super excited for this body. I wonder when it release... like early summer or mid. 😂

I'm late to the party on this because I took a doll hiatus until recently but I NEED THIS BODY. I recently just gave Arle's body to a new head I was working on and this cinched for SURE that Arle's new body will be Mochi Ashi. It's so sosososo SO cute! I understand this news isn't exciting for everyone but as someone who has been in love with Kumako and interested in getting one this will hopefully be a more readily available alternative. That new smiling head reminiscent of Liliru has me very happy too since I wasn't able to nab a DWC-1. Time to save up....

Welp, it looks like my fears were confirmed. These new heads and the Mochi-Ashi body are indeed being released as Dream Choice, with the smiling grey-eyed girl being DCH-19 and the kitty-mouth girl being DCH-21. DCH-21 is shown with two M-03s (????), and DCH-19 is shown with M-02.

 

Unfortunately, Dream Choice makes these girls unobtainable for me. Silly me, hoping they would be standard releases.😭

Ugh. I'm bummed.

They're really cute! My single brain cell was activated upon seeing the cute lil elf ears. I'm really excited.

If you don't mind paying a proxy/personal shopper the Dream Choice options are still obtainable! I'm pretty sure they will also pop-up on Mandarake and other second hand places too.
