My Dollfie Dreams!

Hi everyone!

I recently just got a Dollfie Dream Body and her Head comes todai! You might find her in Doll Directory as Mako Kino. 

I'll post pics as soon as possible! 

BTW This isn't official Makoto Kino. My own custom.

Her ponytail is being difficult and won't curl even though I used a hot curler and her hair is heat-resistant! 

I made her a cute yukata. Which I will post soon!

You could try the boil perm method, but I don't personally have experience curling hair this way. @Cauldroness and @Serena-Hime are the two people I know who have a lot of knowledge about styling wigs. They may be able to give you tips on how to get good curls from a heat resistant wig.

Personally I find that heat resistant hair (I think the technical term is PET) doesn't really work that well with hot tools- it can tolerate higher temperatures, technically, but once you pull it off the curling wand it'll just fall flat before it has a chance to cool down lol. You'd be better off trying hot rollers or, if you use a curling iron, holding the curl in your hand (after you take it out of the iron ofc) until it completely cools down. 

You can also run a flat iron through each section and curl it around your finger while it's still hot

Yeah, @Serena-Hime is right, the hair needs to COOL in the curl or wave you want it in. That's why the boil perm method works, because the curlers hold in the hair in the right position as it cools down. If you're using a curler, you need to hold the hot curl in the right position until it cools (without burning your hands -- maybe use an Ove Glove if you really need to!).

Yeah, It just fell flat after I took it out. I thought it would be the same as human hair! Well, I guess it is just plastic... LOL

The only thing I might add is practice on a wig you don't care about - asuming you have one like that - before attempting the real thing.

Mako has a beautiful kimono, I love it! I hope the wig gets beautiful curls after the advices you got. Even without curls it's a beautiful wig ^^

I gave her a faceup! Like 2 weeks ago...

My plan is to get more heads, eyes, wigs, etc. And put them on her body. 

I also want to get a DDS and DDdy bodies, and a used DD body to dye it. 

And give the Normal size hands to the Sister and Large hands for DD and DDdy.

I don't have anymore than 1 body if you're wondering.
