I love her too much to pass up, and I'd like to continue collecting TinyFox pretty seriously, Yi being my first and now Liluta the second. So I decided as a Christmas+birthday gift I would justify it. I'd like to experience an order directly from TinyFox at least once, too. Out of curiosity.

I emailed them after ordering to inquire why shipping is so high since it I've never paid a shipping fee this high before (ever). They responded quickly which makes me think my order has been accepted. So, this brings up a big question, one that I'm a bit disappointed to have to ask: did they decrease external orders to allow for the remaining supply to be sold at the higher price? 

Very curious to see what happens with their growing popularity.

I certainly hope that's not the case...! I hope it's just a case of them having set aside a quota of dolls for international sales, and a quota for local sales. And that the local quota just sold out more quickly because it was the Double 12 (12 Dec) Shopping Festival in China.

Also I'm curious about what they said about the shipping fee. Would you mind telling us what they said?

I just did a mock order on the international site and the shipping + service fee it gave me was $90 (I'm in Hong Kong) which makes her $370 in total. And there was only one shipping method available, through a courier service called OCS that I've never heard of.

$90 shipping from Mainland China to Hong Kong seems ridiculously high! Especially since my cancelled order through Clover Singing was only $190 with free shipping... (Liluta was discounted for the first two days, plus I had a $15 coupon and $11 worth of points.)

Awww man... I had her in my shopping basket on Taobao and hesitated and now she's gone! Hopefully they end up re-listing her.

Although I'm sad about possibly missing her, I'm really glad that Tinyfox dolls seem to be gaining in popularity! They're wonderful and so affordable that it could bring new people into the hobby.

It's been a few years since I set up my account but I followed a guide from here - https://www.howtotao.com/taobao-account/

Note that you do have to give Taobao your actual phone number to sign up. I haven't personally had any issues though

For anyone looking for eyes (especially in the us), older Volks series animetic eyes are available in 16mm. These are type-B Wakaba/green.

I've recieved 3 packages from Christina with no problem. I have one coming this week, actually. I also didn't get any updates for about a week.

Try emailing her, she usually responded within a day.

US$100 shipping for Asia? I've received dolls from Japan and Korea recently that are bigger and heavier than a 1/4 TinyFox that didn't cost anywhere as much for shipping...! Also got dolls from Alice's Collections in China via express delivery and she didn't charge that much either... I really wish TinyFox's international site offered more than one shipping method... I don't mind the EMS wait.

What shipping method did she use?

If it's EMS, it can take at least a week or two to see any kind of movement and sometimes more than that. I've heard of EMS packages taking at least a month or two to reach the US from China.

I've received 4 packages from Christina so far, 3 via Yanwen, 1 via EMS. Tracking for the Yanwen ones updated every couple of days, the EMS one had a huge gap of a week without updates then suddenly it had arrived and was out for delivery. 

Teaser for new collab with something called 'Minahoshi'. Not sure what 'Minahoshi' is. Is she one of those VR idols? Anyway, she is the bunny girl. And does this mean we are also getting another version of the Little Fox Fairy?

 

I don’t know much about VR chat (Is she an avatar you can use…?) and when I click the Minahoshi tag there isn’t a great deal in it, which makes me wonder if this collab is for promotion. The design is extremely cute, though! I’m looking forward to seeing it.

Seems like Minahoshi is a 3D model by mukumi that you can buy to use in VRChat 🤷‍♀️

Hi! Former VRchat user here lol. Mukumi is a 3d modeler that designs and sells 3d models that are optimized for use in VRchat so they are easy to upload and use!

From the auto translations it seems they're working with them to make a doll of one of their designs! Which is lovely! Their models are very cute!

It seems to be this one specifically which is an alternative outfit for their most popular one;

Disappointing, tinyfox didn’t meet the required order number to make the pink 1/6 bodies at the special 12.12 price. According to the weibo post they will refund people, im not sure what will happen with my proxy there, if they will let them just pay the extra for the next sale.
They did say will have another preorder for it after the white 1/6 bodies ship, it will just presumably cost more than the 12.12 version. But I’m not going to feel like I actually have a body for my pink head for real until I photographic evidence of it with the proxy ;; It’s been such a saga.

The day after I sent Christina an email about the situation she arrived! ....But, sadly, she was damaged while in customs. She arrived with a slash in her leg and an indentat on her wrist, as well as some gross stuff on her other arm. (Thankfully I could wash it off but it still left a mark) Her wig is a mess and I had to take a few days to process it all..

It looks less bad in pictures... but I'm a little heartbroken... I don't know what to do... my friends are saying they should offer at least a partial refund but I feel like that's unheard of in doll situations.. >< I'm so sad...  😭 this is my first time having a doll get damaged by stupid careless customs workers so it hurts a lot...

I'm so sorry to hear that your doll got damaged! I'm not sure if you'll be able to get a refund if the damage was caused by customs.... but there's no harm in asking?

Also, if it's any consolation, that slash/indent on her leg is actually normal and seems to be part of Tiny Fox's design. Both of my 1/4 girls have them on the insides of both of their legs. Here are the indents on Yi and Naya's legs.

That's a little comforting, but an odd design choice..

@darlingdeers I'm so sorry that happened to your doll. That's so frustrating after waiting so long. As for a partial refund you should call your local customs office if there is evidence that they opened and inspected your item. Now if they didn't and it was completely sealed, then you should contact Christina about it. Hope everything works out for you.

Liluta is so pretty, but since I already pre-ordered Koi Jian, I resisted the urge haha. I really can't wait for when she is ready to be shipped.

The ⅙ girl is adorable and I can't wait to see actual pictures of her.

Mine also has this! Must be in their mold.

My girl's left knee is also off-center, I'm not sure how I feel about it. You can only notice it if you bend her leg because her shin goes inward towards her other leg. She functional but I'm a bit annoyed. And her head is slightly more pink than her body (I don't believe it's the face-up/sealant; behind, inside and out of the head are all the same.)

Given how much I recently paid for pre-ordering Liluta from TinyFox international directly, I should hope I don't find any of these errors on her. I'll overlook the errors on Yi since I got her on Newclover's sale price.
