I kind of agree. While I like the feeling of the coating when I handle my dolls, it was really nice putting an anti-stain suit on my Macoco without the coating. It slid on so easily and I wasn't worried about scratching.

The body isn't particularly shiny, it has a sort of resin-like finish. But in any case spraying it with MSC would honestly just make it much worse, since it wouldn't change the surface texture that much and MSC tends to chip like crazy on any articulation. 😅 And honestly I've never had problems with the coating peeling or scratching, and I have 3 of the small tinyfox dolls.

I did the same, but haven't decided on a name yet! And I think Rose will verily easily suit her style of doll, nice pick.

I decided to get a group of 5 girls that all either had flower names or at least nicknames, so Rose will be among floral friends 😁

A few different plans for my TF girls actually~ 

First, I want to have one for each traditional fantasy role: Li is a sword user (knight maybe?), Tatiana is a rogue, Liluta is a healer, and Vivienne is a mage. I'm just missing someone for an archer. I know there's lots of other classes but I'm thinking vaguely in terms of tank, healer, and damage.

And I have some rolling thoughts for my other girls. I kind of want to make an idol group around/with Kiki.

I'm changing all of their names eventually, explaining this way was easier.

I like your flower theme! She's like a black rose.

That sounds like a really cool project. I love themed groups of dolls.

The main plan for my flowers is that they are in a band together, so I want to make stage looks for them on top of their own personal looks, once they get here *sigh*

The more I see of TinyFoxes the more excited I get about my order getting here. They get cuter and cuter every time I see them

Hello! my name is Laura and today I bought my first BJD doll, specifically cherry from tinyfox. I'm interested in buying Ashley and I don't know where I can find her at the moment, does anyone know? Thank you! 

I just ordered the penguin girl, Debbie! The only thing I’ve been agonizing over is the pink eye makeup… in some pictures it looks really cute, and then sometimes I wish she had more standard black eye makeup. I got a few different wigs/clothes for her to try out. I didn’t realize vinyl stained before I ordered a black dress for her too 😅 I’ll have to see what can be done about it, maybe masking tape on the inside to avoid it brushing against her. I also got the kindergarten clothing for her. These are all coming from various stores as I have been out of the hobby so long that I don’t know who to trust anymore. I was afraid to preorder her too, so she was luckily in stock. I think the clothes were a preorder, but I am seeing them on twitter so I think the wait might not be so long. I can’t do these half year or longer waits anymore haha

I purchase from Taobao directly these days. They have a forwarding warehouse to a select few countries. Their packing isn’t great though. I’ve had one doll box pretty badly damaged in transit. Here’s a guide https://letschinese.com/how-to-order-from-taobao/?amp=1

I’ll admit that the interface is pretty confusing though. And notifications are pretty much all through the app (not on the website or via email) which can’t be translated except by screenshot or using a second phone. Some people report that Taobao will ban you without warning if you swap IPs too much but I haven’t had an issue so far *touch wood*
 

I use to use a proxy for purchases before they offered overseas shipping. It was years ago now but Spreenow use to be very good. Not sure how they compare now.

Hello, I've got a question for folks with a Macoco, have any of you tried her in bottoms meant for big baby sized resins? I'm just trying to think of pants that could fit her...

I don't have her anymore so I can't do any actual comparisons, but I had a MYou big baby Matcha in the past and my Macoco arrived recently. In my opinion, pants probably won't be shareable between the two--especially if you're using the chunky legs. You may be able to get away with it with the slimmer Macoco legs, but the length may be different.

Darn, I prefer the look of the chunky/manga style legs. She'll just have to wear skirts and dresses then, I suppose! Maybe I'll try making patterns for her when I can get her

Oh wow that's amazing! I'm really happy they're becoming more popular.

Sharing this here, too, since Instagram reach may not be great. I got some American Girl sized shoes (technically this is from a "My Life As" set, but essentially the same) and they fit pretty well on the Macoco feet. It's not perfect--for the plastic shoes that go above the ankle you'll need to increase the size of the slit at the back--but it's pretty decent all things considered. I'm planning on buying a pair of lace-up shoes from Etsy soon and can let y'all know how those do as well.

Does someone know how to adjust it when the bust part sits super wobbly? It moves around pretty much on its own. 

I guess I should try to tighten the screws, but how do I even access them?
