1/6 scale vinyl TinyFox Dolls!

Whyyyy I had just said that I didn’t want any more Tinyfox dolls and I find they announced these girls? Send help.

I rediscovered this pink Fibonacci outfit I bought a long time ago! I decided to dress Yi in it so she could be an older sister faerie since she was my first 1/4 scale Tinyfox. 💕

I also moved Tammy, my very first Tinyfox doll, onto the shelf, so now I have all my Tinyfox cuties together in one display!

Sorry for the double post but looks like there is a new Macoco coming. I like the slightly darker vibe of the face up but mainly, wow these clothes are gorgeous. Many people on Weibo are begging for them to sell the clothes separately.

Cherry (or is it Cherrie? Both are used) arrived today and she's very cute. I'm currently stain treating her socks and underwear to see if they bleed or not. They don't feel like they should stain since they're made from obvious synthetics that's maybe polyester, but better safe than sorry.

She is beyond adorable congrats! Still waiting for mine to arrive at the Taobao warehouse. 

Are the rest of her clothes lined? I will be using a stocking regardless but curious anyway. 

I see yours appears to have a stocking but you are still taking the extra step of stain treating the underwear? Is the stocking known to seep through or something?

Her clothes do not have white lining, although she has a white inner top that provides a slight buffer. So far, no dye leeching and after putting it on Cherry, no dye so far on the stain suit, but it's been less than a day so who knows. Tinyfox notably added an extra stain warning on her clothes bag and included the stain warning card usually included with dolls with darker clothes so I'm very careful. The main pieces of concern are her black dress and socks+underwear and neither of those two have light lining and would be making direct contact without a stainsuit. If her clothes start staining, I'll provide an update. I find her wings and tail to be the most troublesome since her tail is a stiff wire and her wings are held in place by magnets, but they're not flexible so it gets knocked off.

My Macoco has arrived recently, and I'm wondering if anyone has any advice for taking it apart? I haven't done this before and I'm kinda afraid of accidentally breaking it or something >_<

Mainly wondering about the feet on the chubby legs, the knee joints, and the torso... I'm assuming I unscrew the little parts on the thigh/hip joints but I have yet to find the right size screwdriver lol

For context I was planning on dyeing the doll (which will also be my first time) so... is that even optimal for this kind of doll? I appreciate any help!

Cherry is such a fun, cheeky doll. I wish the wings were not quite so rigid though as posing in this chair does not mix well with the wings (so they are gone for the moment) but man is she cute in the whole getup. The tail is pretty fun to pose.

Not a big fan of the official Tinyfox bodysuit but this outfit can’t be used without it really. I added some stain prevention tape to the back of her collar too to be safe. 

Time to find some cute black shoes. I really wish Tinyfox would just include a pair. I’d happily pay more..

Oh no, they're so cute! I love the outfits and ribbons under their ears! Since the 1/6 fox girl is in the background, I'm assuming that they're 1/6 size too? If they're 1/4 I'll be in trouble lol.

Yeah the Weibo seems to say they will be 1/6 and given the 1/6 fox is in the back I’d say that is a safe bet for sure. 

I kinda wish they were 1/4 as that would be less dangerous for me actually haha.

These two cute boys came back from their stay at a faceup artist a little while ago.

The red on Fuuta's wig is not quite right, but I didn't have a better one at hand currently, so this has to do temporarily.

I rearranged things and somehow having Cherry makes me love my other two girls even more. They are such good foils for each other. 

Never thought I’d fall so head over heels for a Chinese 1/6 doll brand and here we are. They now live on my desk while I work. Tinyfox has really impressed me in my year owning them.

I stole Kyoho’s shoes for Cherry as they are perfect for her.

I noticed that I put Cherry’s eyes in opposite to official shots and other peoples photos. I really can’t decide if I leave them backwards or swap them to the more normal way  I kinda like both options..

Also the new Macoco Joshua is up for order if anyone is interested. The elephant girl (Mary?) will also be shipping out soon. 

 

I got my Heer Monka and she is soooo cute! Plus there's so many cute and cheap 1/6 bjd dresses on aliexpress and taobao. The only thing is that her head is kinda wobbly and her feet were too wide for one of the pairs of shoes I got her.

I've been waiting for them to release more news on the 1/4 boys that were mentioned awhile ago, but I haven't seen any updates since 😟

I was holding off on buying Nomi and waiting for the 1/4 boys since I prefer slimmer bodies on male dolls and because there aren't as many 1/6 boy doll clothes available. However, since there's still no news I wonder if I should just go for him now and try to find a cheap slimmer body (maybe UFdoll's slim 1/6 body? I worry that it's TOO slim though, it looks more like blythe/pullip size), especially since I love his faceup and wig and it's unlikely that they would make a similar one again...

Tinyfox is having 1/4 scale boys planned? I never even heard about that, that's interesting! Are there any pictures for that?

Also, if it's taobao you are looking at I teally don't find it hard to find nice clothes for 1/6 scale boys, but it might depend on what kind of style you are looking for.

And I do have two 1/6 anime style boys from UFdoll, I wouldn't say they are too slim? They have a little bit of curve around the butt and hips, but are definitely overall more slender than tinyfox or imomo 1/6 angel bodies.

@MoiBakaDesu this was the last I've heard of the 1/4 boys. Since I haven't been able to find any pics or updates, I'm guessing it might have just been a rumor at this point. I really wish they would make 1/4 boys though! There aren't many vinyl anime boys available without customization currently and I know Tinyfox would make excellent fullsets and faceups for them! 😥

The UFdoll body I was looking at was this mini one, which seems to be the same body that their new 1/6 blind box dolls use. It appears to have similar measurements to Azones or other slim 1/6 fashion doll bodies, so I don't think it would really fit standard 1/6 bjd clothes well (although I DO like the oversized sweater/sweatshirt look so maybe it could work?). Is that the same body that you have, or is there another one that you'd recommend? I just thought that since the slim mini body is the cheapest on taobao agents sites, it would be less risky for me if it didn't fit the head or if the skintone doesn't match up.

And that seems to be a different one, I got these Ufdoll boys here! I like them quite a lot and the material feels very similar to 1/6 tinyfox due to the coating they use.

I also saw that body on Jane's and really liked it! It looks like it's about double the price on other agents, but if it's a good fit it might be worth it as long as the UFdoll white skin is decently close to Tinyfox white skin. Are your UFdoll bodies as heavy as Tinyfox bodies? I like the feel of the Tinyfox skin's coating, but they're pretty heavy compared to other vinyl dolls! I think I'd want to look for a lighter weight body.

Oh, they are just as heavy, if not even a little bit more, because they are slightly taller. Also worth to note is that they are BJD not MJD. But they are very nice to pose I have to say, they hold poses really well, I haven't had problems with them being floppy or kicky.

I don't have any white/cream tinyfox dolls, but I can provide a side by side of the normal skin for both. These are pretty similar, it doesn't show well on the pictures, but tinyfox has a very slightly more yellow-ish tint.

Another 1/6 new sleepy character is up for order on the 10th.

Murphy was first teased very recently so I’m hoping we see the cat girls soon. I hate Tapirs so poor Murphy isn’t even an option for me lol.

Removed some incorrect info

I think it's a baku girl? It's dream/sleep themed so that might be what the character is, not a tapir. Though they do look similar and the word baku does refer to tapirs in Japan.... I still think that a baku might be more likely. My love of yokai makes her a definite want though hehe!

Well that makes so much more sense. Thank you! I did wonder why on earth they would make a Tapir girl. But she is a dream eater so totally a mistranslation on my part there. I don’t know many yokai so didn’t even know about Baku. Much cooler concept now!

But even them sharing the Tapir kanji is enough for me to say no. Haha.

 

Does anyone know how to fix a loose/wobbly chest on the 1/6 dolls? I saw another person that had the same problem as my Heer Monka, and they said the dealer said there was a way to fix it, but they never said what that way was. The only tutorials I've found where on this thread for the 1/4 dolls, but from what I can see, there isn't a screw to adjust the chest in the 1/6 dolls, and I don't even know how to remove the neck piece to take the chest off 😥

 

Edit: also it seems like her upper right arm is on backwards somehow? Her left one has the room for the double joint in the front so she can touch her face, but the left arm is the opposite.
