1/6 scale vinyl TinyFox Dolls!

Hi I'm new to mjd and the forum, but recently got a tinyfox Asmoti and love her  

This might be a dumb question but I'm worried about damaging her/her clothes, is there a technique to getting the clothing on? Especially the tight fitting stuff, like am I supposed to remove hands etc first or is it just a case of being slow and careful? I did get the anti stain suit as well but haven't put anything on her yet.

I will try and attach a photo of her (bald, eyeless) face - her eyebrows and blush are so cute 🥺

Looks like a new/updated 1/4 body teaser? I'd have to see it compared to the current one to make any real opinion on it 🤔

 

 

Are the fullset dolls limited? I found a NIB Frog girl at the Azone store in Ikebukuro and I almost grabbed her, but I realized I don't know if she's even limited, or if I could get her sort of whenever. (They had SEVERAL Tinyfox kids at that location, it's interesting that Azone/Parabox might start keeping them in stock?)

Oh the new body looks so good! I've been wanting to get a different body for my sleeping princess since the single jointed arms are a pain and I have to worry about staining a lot since magic erasers will destroy the coating, but I don't really like the way the Macoco looks. It looks like they went for the more mature slim 1/4 body that's popular with resin bjds now, I really like it! I just hope it doesn't have the same coating the current body does...

 

Edit: Also, since they're making a more mature 1/4 body, I wonder if they're also going to make a more mature 1/6 body as well, I think it would look good for those 2 jirai kei cat girls that were teased before...

I also saw a post on tinyfox’s weibo recently that said something about changes to material used for the 1/6 bodies from now on (starting with Ashley). Standard warning about machine TL applies but it sounds like the newer versions won’t have the coating, and will be more stain resistant? By ‘polishing’ does it mean the finish rubbing off?

I have mixed feelings because while the feel of the dolls was part of the appeal, the deterioration and stain risk was something I was always worried about. I kinda hope one day they can just be actual vinyl.

I know it being even more prone to staining and being impossible/hard to fix if it does being pretty big concerns, but I also think it would be a shame if they get rid of the coating ... for me that silky feeling is one of the big reasons why I like these dolls so much.

I fell in love with TinyFox's Vivienne, but it seems there isn't really a way to purchase her anymore.

My best bet seems to be to get Vivienne's head mold with a similar faceup and clothes set and then a 1/4 female body from Imomo Doll, all from from JanesDolland, since I can't find TinyFox bodies alone. Does anyone know if TinyFox and Imomo Doll milk/white skin match--I've seen that their tans don't match but I didn't find one for their lighter tones. And is there a place to get a similar wig?

The regular tinyfox 1/4 body doesn't seem to be sold on tinyfox' taobao right now, sadly. They do have Vivienne's outfit set still listed though.

I am not at home right now, but I can already tell you that Imomo milk is a lot darker than TF white, I think it might even be a bit darker than TF pink even.

Storytime: I had been planning on getting a Tinyfox fullset for a while now, and I thought I would have to rule out one of the fullsets I absolutely loved due to him not being available anymore and never really being on the second hand market.... A fullset that I ended up getting! Witchcraft happened last month.... Either that or Kikagoods ended up discovering leftover stock I guess.... But Tinyfox Lilith was on sale there, and I ended up getting the last one in stock. Anyway he came today and I chose to name him after the Genshin twink that is Lyney! I had no anti-stain suits so he looks like a mummy underneath the clothes lol, I had to use cling wrap to improvise so I could keep staining to a minimum!

Unfortunately the 1.0 1/4 TF body and 1.0 1/4 Imomo body are quite different in tone; Imomo is much peachier and warmer. I'm not sure if the newer Imomos have a different tone though.

I splurged on this cutie because Tinyfox's Taobao store was running a special and she ended up being around $165 after discount and plus taxes etc. I'll definitely post pictures when she arrives! I'm gonna just go with the sea shipping since I have a bunch of other stuff in the order and it's all really heavy. I tried sea shipping for my last shipment and it only took about 3 weeks, so not too bad. I'm so excited for her to get here! 🥺

I cannot wait! They are really drawing it out with these girls though. It feels like most of their releases just drop out of no where (like the jellyfish) but they really seem to be taking it slow with the cats. Was hoping we would have seen them this month but oh well!

Shame I can’t go to the actual event, but I doubt I’d pay Japan prices for Tinyfox anyway..

Double post but I thought the cat girls would be next and I just see they uploaded this a few days ago? How do they keep to this schedule... and keep making such cute dolls. Seems orchids are her theme and her name is Fillion.

No other info really available yet for this girl.

I can't really tell if the orchid dream girl is 1/4 or 1/6. If I read it correctly she's listed as a M-04 head, but I'm not 100% if the M heads are all exclusively macoco heads or not.

Correct, the 1/4 heads have followed the D/M naming convention, meaning I'm 99% sure M-04 is a 1/4. The M head series began with the release of Macoco; the last D head released thus far was D-12, the elf head used for Vivienne. The only head that does not follow this rule was X-03 which was used for Kiki; not sure why this was.

 

The 1/6 heads use the X/C naming convention.

Thank you for the explanation! I've only noticed that the newer macoco heads start with M, but haven't double checked all 1/6 heads for their naming convention. Now I know!

La Peonier uploaded more pictures of her. They're indeed listing her as a 1/4 macoco, sales period starts soon on their page. I suppose other retailers will put her up soon as well. I love her fullset a lot. TinyFox is incredible at outfit designs and details.

Hot damn she cute! Never got a macoco before, let alone any1/4 scale Tinyfox dolls.... Guess I may just be holding out for "the one" in that regard, but this one's pretty that's for certain!

I'm sure this has been asked here before -- I kind of looked around, but thought I'd ask anyway. I just got my hands on Debby (penguin girl) and I love her to bits, she is so cute. I'm having trouble getting started on where to find outfits for her, though.

I've been following Japanese BJD Twitter for a long time and Tinyfox gals are popular on there, so I know there's stuff out there 👀 Sometimes I also chase hashtags on Twitter and try to see where people are getting stuff, but a lot of it seems to be limited run stuff online, or just bought from actual physical stores in Japan or China(?).

So far I've been able to find a handful of items on Booth by searching "tinyfox服"! But that's it really. Do YoSD clothes fit 1/6 tinyfox dolls, as well?

I had some luck with buying Angell Studio 1/6 clothing for mine but I also have dolls with the older body so this might not be super useful info. I haven't kept up with changes to the bodies and if the measurements are the same or not.

Hi! I have the 1/6 Candy Bunny and she fits Barbie clothes! They also fit YoSD/other 1/6 doll clothes but some may be too small due to the hips of TF 1/6th being a bit bigger.

For Fashion Dolls, any 1/6 scale like Barbie, Rainbow High fits, especially Curvy Barbie and Ken Shirts. 

Also try to look for sellers within your country that caters to YoSD clothes, if there's a specific aesthetic you are looking for. 

Etsy is also an option but I haven't checked in years

I usually buy my doll clothes from Shopee, if it's available in your country you can try to look there too

Don't forget about Taobao too.... That place has a plethora of YoSD clothing sellers and I've found stuff that fits 1/6 scale Tinyfox dolls there!

Two more questions, if anyone can help:

1. Do "chibi" clothes from the official Volks store fit Tinyfox dolls? Stuff like this. I ask because I've seen Tinyfox owners on Japanese Twitter dress up their dolls in this exact costume! It does say YoSD in the description -- if I see that, is it generally a safe bet that it'll fit on a 1/6 Tinyfox?
    
2. How worried should I be about stains? I have the little flesh-colored bodysuit, but are dark-colored clothes a straight up no-no even if she's wearing that underneath? Or is it fine as long as she has it on? I've heard Tinyfoxes are notoriously easily stained, so I just want to be safe!

@bloodpine I use chibi dress clothes from Volks on my tinyfox - tops and dresses are fine (the sleeves are sometimes a little long, but this is because tiny fox have weirdly short arms, (ironically the old bodies had weirdly long arms so I guess they overcorrected it), but shorts have been hit and miss. I only have a few chibi dress outfits and some of the shorts are -extremely- tight! (However…the actual tinyfox shorts Nomi came with are also extremely tight??? As in so tight the button won’t do up properly if he tucks his shirt in and has the body stocking on at the same time…) 

This is my custom c08 boy wearing the top half of two separate chibi dress outfits and Nomi’s shorts. His hands get swallowed a bit by the large frills on the sleeves. Tiny fox also have smaller shoulders, which can affect how the outfit sits, although it’s not a big deal.

This one was a tight squeeze but still fit (the dark blue did give him a small stain though) but you’ll notice how the narrower upper torso makes the top part of the outfit look a look baggier/not ‘filled out’ like it would on a Volks YoSDs.

What concerns me about the shorts tightness is the higher staining risk more than whether they fit or not, tbh.
For dresses, especially short sleeve ones, I doubt you’ll have any issue.

Your custom boy is so cute...!! The pictures help me understand the fit of these clothes on a Tinyfox a lot better. Hmmm, so it seems like dresses and tops are fine, but bottoms might be risky due to the wider hips on Tinyfoxes?

I've seen people dress up their 1/6 Tinyfoxes in Volks clothes like these and they seem fine (it is a skirt/dress after all), so that checks out. I imagine underclothes like these might be on the riskier side though? If they even fit at all? 🤔

Do you feel like the anti-staining bodysock helps in general, or should I still avoid dark clothes for her?
