1/6 scale vinyl TinyFox Dolls!

@ninagrim suggested I check my Fluffy for cracks in the eyewell, so when they first arrived I made sure to look and did not notice anything outside of what looked like a ding in the rim, which I chalked up to molding issues.  However, last night when I was fussing with Drosera and opened the head to swap eyes, a large crack had formed in the right eyewell.  I carved down the eyewells to fit eyes better while carefully noting the crack's progression, and it travels incredibly close to the outer head (however, it has not reached the eyeliner visibly from the outside or a low viewing angle...yet?).  I'm not sure how I will handle that if it happens, but I'm considering smoothing some epoxy in the inside to potentially act as bracing.

I have 10 (+1 floating head) Tinyfox dolls at this point between their 1/6 and slim 1/4 models, and I have not come across this issue before until the Macoco head - so I feel fairly confident in assuming this is either a model specific flaw or a line specific flaw.  I have not handled this head any differently in how I open/close it, insert eyes, etc, and my environment is temperature controlled so this shouldn't be a problem due to fluctuations in humidity or temperature.  I echo Ninagrim's suggestion to check and monitor your Macoco head for cracking.  I really hope this doesn't become an aesthetic flaw over time, but I'll have to see how things progress or don't, and will update if anything extra wonky comes from it ╮(  T ◡T)╭

In other news, I was dressing and resetting my 1/4 crew the other day but Dewey kinda got put out in no man's land since I just wasn't vibing, but I felt so bad every time I looked at him ( ╥ω╥ ).  I spent most of the evening fussing around and I'm happy to say I finally found his ✨lewk✨ and he got promoted to hanging with the others, but it's a full 180 on uhhhh everything haha.  I definitely didn't see this coming, but it do be like that sometimes!

that's so unfortunate about the eye crack :[ hopefully it won't cause an issue later down the line !

but also that look is so cute ^__^ i really love the eyes a lot ! did you make them yourself or get them from somewhere :3 new to customizing and i see a lot of cute eyes like that + don't know where to start with browsing for myself

 

@mmmuguet Oh no, what a shame about the crack. Are you going to contact Tinyfox about it? However he looks so shy and sweet. I want to hug him.

Anyone know how stain-proof the new Tinyfox bodies really are? 👀 I just welcomed Murphy and she's so cute! Is it still a huge risk to forego the anti-stain bodysock with this little one? Haha. I've seen people on Twitter display her without it, so I'm just making sure!

@bloodpine I have no experience because my Tinyfox girl isn't home yet. But I did buy an anti-stain suit. I figured it might be better to be safe than sorry.

@bloodpine I had my Nomi in the black shorts for a while without a body suit and didn't have any staining!  I can't comment for long term, but 2 weeks was fine lol.  If you're worried you can handwash the clothes first to get out any extra dye.  I did grab several suits just for use with very dark clothes to be safe though, since I'm paranoid haha.

@HelloBirdie I may contact them to let them know, but I don't intend to do anything about it other than watch and see how it goes with time.  If it keeps cracking I'm just going to mod it into his style - Dewey will be my science project for now lol. 

@grimmgle The eyes are from Secret Art Studio!  I had commissioned them for another doll but they didn't work out, so I'm happy they ended up being put to good use.

Modding him would be a great solution. Either way he is absolutely adorable.

Hello, just joined the Forum. Mostly because I want a place to look at Tinyfox Dolls and hopefully, eventually, spam photos of my own when the time comes.

I have preordered Poison and am pretty excited to make them my own. I'm hoping to make them into a cute little boy character. Oh but that wait, November at best! 😩 How will my heart endure? (maybe by having folks share photos of their own 1/6 Tinyfox boys, or any Tinyfox dolls? As has already been helpfully requested)

Fwiw, if this information is of use to anyone, I've had Nene sitting in that red dress without an anti-stain bodysock for almost two months and she's blemish-free. The outfit's by Mujia Zoo and their Tinyfox/YoSD clothes tend to have a white/clear lining on the inside, perhaps to prevent staining if I had to guess as to why.

here you go! If you don't want to use Booth, you can order via Janes Dolland as well.  Occasionally sets show up second hand too.

Some sets won't fit entirely as expected on a Tinyfox body, just fyi~ one pieces are totally fine, but some 2 piece ones don't sit properly.  Since Tinyfoxes have such narrow shoulders and chests, I've had outfits like the snow bunny set's top sits below their actual bust hahah.

There's only one Tinyfox 1/6 body now, so it's the default - I like it, it's very cute!

If you mean MyDollection, I very sincerely urge you to keep eagle eyes on your charge back window with your bank or PayPal.  They are in a very bad place in terms of customer support and shipping delays/lies.  Do not believe when they say they have no complaints, there are a ton of active complaints and cases against them right now.  I ended up having to file a dispute and escalate to a claim to get my money back.

mmmuguet thanks for the info and l don't have my bank info with PayPal anymore. I use gift cards. I will keep a close eye on the company 😊.
