Roserolls Posted August 14 (edited) Has anyone seen the teaser for their new 1/6 girl (actually it doesn't seem to say her size and her official Tinyfox post has #macoco on it)? She's a little goth salamander nurse named Lucy! Unfortunately it looks like the syringe is only a photoshoot prop and she doesn't come with it... I hope they give her the shoes this time, because otherwise the design is a bit plain. I'd also be worried about the black ribbon right under her chin...but didn't they update the bodies so they don't have the powder coating anymore? If so, it would at least be easier to remove stains. I really like her though, she's so CUTE!!!! (Also @HelloBirdie, Jane typically takes about 1-2 days to reply back. I've always wondered how well the 1/6 scale stuff on Etsy and whatnot matches Tinyfox scale, so it's a huge help to see everything. The mention of Spampy really took my back to my resin days too hahah. I think Tilly is the perfect roomie for Kitsune, but you might end up with a bucketload more of tiny plants with her arrival 😹 ---- The new girl is super simple, but she's cute~ she'll probably be inexpensive compared to the others since the "fullset" isn't very complex. If the concept was a little spookier/more detailed she'd look right at home with my antique medical stuff, but my wallet is safe like this lol. ---- @LesMarzipan I think the art card is randomized, I got a different girl with my Fluffy! Picking a name is a big part of how their vibe comes together for me~ sometimes I settle on the perfect one quickly, and other times I have to think for a while and see what feels right. Albeit even if I come up with a name, and concept, for the doll before they arrive, it usually ends up that they become someone else once they're in my hands.😅 But one of the facets I enjoy about the doll hobby is seeing how different they can be from one another, so even if they arrive as Fullsets, I'm really curious how others will treat and style the same doll I have. It's fun to be creative with my dolls. Speaking of which, I've decided to name Tilly (when she arrives) Shika, which is Japanese for deer. I think it goes well with Kitsune. I don't think the heads ever had the soft touch coating, my fox girl's head doesn't feel or look like it does and neither does my Lizzie. The finish is slightly different on the body/head, the body is slightly more matte and feels soft whereas the heads are a little bit less matte and feel more like a traditional plastic/vinyl surface. I think it has something to do with the soft touch coating interfering with the paint's ability to adhere but that's purely a guess on my part LOL! I can't tell you if stain removal will be an issue or not but I don't believe the heads have the same coating as the body does. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

The floral cushions are by a miniature shop in Australia. Sorry, I can't remember the name of the shop right now, but I'll share it if it comes to mind. The desk is from NewBee4Miniatures on Etsy, as was the mirror on the right of the desk, and the green pegboard above the desk. The white console is from the Huset livingroom set sold by Ikea. All the tiny accessories are various miniatures from Calico Critters, Re ment, Miniverse blind balls, Barbie and Etsy shops. The record player I made by following a tutorial by The Square to Spare on Youtube. It's still not completely finished. There are bare walls as you can see, and I need to add curtains. I'm also toying with the idea of adding wallpaper above the beaded board paneling. But hopefully in the next few months I can share the finished room. Thanks to those who asked to see more pictures.
