I'm only kind of recently into TinyFox + have not kept up with their release windows before. Does anyone know about the new chef girl, Piercy, releasing super early ? I dunno how reliable the statements are, but Kikagoods has her listed as ready to ship rather than giving a release date next year like with their other dolls (though I know she's not available to ship right this moment) & now Christina on newcloversinging has said that TinyFox told her if you buy the doll in November 2024, she'll be ready in 2 weeks. I'm trying to understand if I'm completely misunderstanding something here, or if this is not as bizarre as it sounds to me 😭 I was not expecting her as soon as 2 weeks (?) but I am curious if a super bumped up release is in any way expected/possible, or if TinyFox has had other flash releases like this,

I’m not 100% sure since I can’t read Chinese, but my understanding of their post on Weibo is that they’re giving a discount for Nov 11 (basically Chinese Black Friday) and shipping her out shortly after. The Japanese retailers all give short release windows too, and it seems Piercy is a super limited release (LaPeonier only had 20 preorder slots available), which is probably how they can prepare her so quickly.

This took a lot longer than I expected, and I was expecting it to take some time~  ( ; ´ヮ`)

Side note: I will be sharing photos of my TF collection soon in my photo journal thread! I am moving soon and want to get them out for a group photo before storing them safely away.

 

S-tier Comments (perfect or very-near perfect)

• Painter was my very first TF, despite that I purchased her head only from someone on the forum, so she's very special to me. She's back from TF's OG 1/6 era where they had multiple skin tones. I have an Imomodoll body for her and while the skin tone isn't a perfect match, I think I can make it work with her outfit design. She's Cherry's angel counter-part and her name is Plum~
• Liluta is perfect. Wig, outfit, face screening, everything. I have renamed her Limina and she is the healer in my RPG group.
• Fibo is sooo close to perfect; her outfit is breathtaking and her expression is so regal and koi. I have renamed her Bedalia, for the grandeur she deserves, and she is my butterfly in my insect ensemble.
• Vivienne, I literally kept saying "wow" when I unboxed her. She's stunning, and I'm a sucker for elf ears. D-12 is my favorite sculpt to-date, and was the last sculpt before the Macoco (M) era. I will rename her later but she is my mage in my RPG group.
• Lee, baby Lee. I passed on her for over a year then finally caved; not just because her hair is one of my favorite colours and why are green wigs so rare? Her outfit is probably still my favorite to-date, it's stunning and unique. I have renamed her Zielle (or Zie) and she is a herbalist~

 

A-tier Comments (so close to perfect and strong favorites)

• Yi was my first "proper" TF, after Plum's head. I love her to death. While she has a simple face screening and sculpt, her innocent expression works so well with her knightly outfit. I have renamed her Cordelia and she is my tank (knight) in my RPG group.
• Tatiana is so underrated. Her strong expression is so unique; it's like she's trying her best to be strong and stoic but her shyness pokes through. I fell in love with her when she arrived. Her outfit is very well detailed and crafted. She's A-tier only because I really dislike her wig and have a new one for her. She will be renamed later and she is my melee (rogue) in my RPG group.
• Pepper's outfit carried her to A-tier; it's adorable! So festive and whimsical, and the textile selection and range is wonderful. I can't wait to display her at Christmas. I'm not especially attached to her face screening but it's cute enough, and I will be finding a better suited wig. I currently have no project plans for her but will in the future. Maybe she'll join Clementine in the cafe? See Meiling below!
• Fluffyyy! What a precious angel. She might has my favorite face screening, it's so painfully precious and perfect. TF has this obsession of adding red to their faces, and while she has it too, her grey tones and stylized eyeliner make her stand out. She's only A-tier because I really dislike her outfit (I'm sorry...), it's just not doing anything for me. I will rename her later and she is my moth in my insect ensemble.
• Cherry is my one and only 1/6 purchase (not counting Plum's head) and the only time I've caved on a 1/6 release... It's probably those dang elf ears. And she's so mischievous and animated. She will keep her original name and she is Plum's demon counterpart, but they will have a twist and be demon and angel fairies!
• Ashley was my biggest TF regret. I have a rule in my doll hobby where I only purchase fullsets when I love their faces AND outfits, either entirely or very close to entirely. While her outfit is beautiful, it wasn't doing anything for me; the nun theme didn't fit with my projects or plans for displaying everyone. But... Her face screening is so stunning. She's so elegant and gentle and she's one of the very few releases without any red in her eyeliner. I was very lucky to purchase her nude and loose from someone locally for a very good price in September, and I was so extremely happy. I have renamed her Enid and she is my glowing firefly in my insect ensemble.
• I do not own the remainder of the A-tier dolls but they made this tier due to how much I've admired them through everyone here on the forum and photos online. Maybe one dayyy?

 

B-tier Comments

• I purchased Kiki a bit impulsively. If I'm being honest with myself, I mostly got her because she's the only X-03 sculpt and I've had a goal of getting every 1/4 sculpt. Also she's the only 1/4 scale X head sculpt because X usually denotes 1/6 heads, I never understood why TF did this. But she's surprised me a lot in person and while her face is cute, her outfit landed her in B. It's got a lot of great pieces. I currently have no project plans for her but will in the future.
• Konid has really flown under the radar imo; I think it was due to her releasing on the tail-end of the Macoco era which had mixed reviews. She's one of the only face screenings that features a different colour other than red (blue!) but that's not the reason I love it though: her expression is just sooo cute! I'm looking for a new wig for her that shows her blue, arched, sneaky eyebrows. Her outfit is pretty cute too; it's not my favorite combined but I love a lot of the individual pieces. I currently have no project plans for her but will in the future.
• I do not own the remainder of the B-tier dolls but admire a lot of features from all of them, especially Lizzie's and Joshua's unique, heavy eyeliner and sleepy looks. I think I'll try to eventually purchase one of them nude, like Ashley. Then again I don't dislike Joshua's outfit...

 

C-tier Comments

• Koimi taught me an important lesson. I want to start with saying her face is beautiful; she's strong and elegant and ultimately why I ordered her. But as I mentioned above by Ashley, I regretted getting her in the end because I like nothing else about her; her wig, eyes, and outfit don't do anything for me. She's when I started my rule of only purchasing dolls if I like the complete fullset bundle. I will be selling her outfit in the near future and will keep her nude and unboxed with Ashley. I have renamed her Meika and she is my archer in my RPG group.
• Fillion could probably have been B-tier, she was really on the fence. Her outfit is beautiful and extremely detailed, however it bothers me that her leather vest and blouse are one piece (but the black leather is lined which is nice!) Her face is cute but nothing special and pretty neutral. I really dislike her wig. But her green-pink scheme is beautiful and I don't regret getting her. I will rename her later and she is my dragonfly in my insect ensemble (her outfit made me think of one immediately~)
• I do not own the remainder of the C-tier dolls. I don't dislike any of them but I don't love any of them either.

 

D-tier Comments

• And finally, Meiling. This one's complicated. So... Meiling was very much like Kiki: I got her to complete my 1/4 TF sculpt collection. Unfortunately I really dislike how she ended up after they presented her design in the first Macoco teaser with her, Pepper, and Lee. I really, really dislike her outfit... I wanted to use parts of it but the embroidered panda, for example, ruined that. However. However... I have a good project plan for her and have started to love her. She will be the only TF I will alter the original face screening of; I plan to cover the green bows and re-design her nose/mouth to be closer to her original design. I have renamed her Clementine and she will be a red panda in a cafe maid outfit! I already have the perfect shoulder length, wavy, light auburn wig for her and can't wait to get started on her. She might be my first TF project in 2025 in fact~
• I do not own the remainder of the D-tier dolls and have to admit they are my least favorites (I'm sorryyy~)  (´-ω-`)

 

Honourable mentions are the two ladies Martha and Raya. I passed on them due to not liking their outfits (Martha is not at all my style and I didn't like how cheap the cloth of Raya's outfit looked) but I adore their sculpts and have their blank heads. I have no projects planned for them yet but would like to do something very special in the end. I have 1 blank original 1/4 body and 1 blank Macoco body for them.

The entries in the N/A section I could barely or not-at-all remember so I felt that was the most fair judgment and even a comment on its own. I'm not sure if I like or dislike them.

If you got this far, thank you reading my complete TF reflection; I purchased Yi in 2021, only one year after starting my BJD hobby and she was my fourth doll ever. This brand means so much to me and I can't wait to hear more about the second generation 1/4 body. Thanks for letting me share all of this~ 💚

I ordered a Little Ashley last week and she should be here any day now! I’m so excited as well! I wanted the 1/4 Ashley very much but hesitated. I hope to one day get her from the second hand market, but for now I am very happy to be getting little Ashley and Murphy! I am getting so impatient as they have been in the US for several days but has not moved yet. Crossing my fingers they arrive soon!

Here are a few photos of my new girls! Haven’t thought of names yet, but my new girls are Little Ashley and Murphy 💜

I had so much fun unboxing them and doing a little photo shoot. I live unboxed it with photos on the TinyFox discord server (don’t know if promo is okay here, but I’m not trying to solicit, just wanted to mention it as I enjoy it! It’s not my server but it’s really awesome and if anyone would like to join I can send you the invite!). 
 

I truly love them! Ashley actually came with the white shoes which I was pleasantly surprised about. And Murphy came with a little dream catcher bracelet that is quite pretty. It’s a delicate adjustable chain with a charm that can be removed. I might incorporate the charm into a future outfit for Murphy. 
 

Overall, the quality is stunning and I love how heavy they are. I think I see why the Macoco body is not the same material in the legs; they would be so heavy for how thick they are! Plus the cost of the material and manufacturing might be a lot. 
 

I adore my girls and I can’t wait to dress them up in new outfits and make a custom room for them! The room in the photos is the first one I ever made and it’s far too short! 
 

Contemplating getting Cherry, as I had a little headcannon about Little Ashley accidentally summoning a demon (I see her as being quite mischievous) and Cherry actually being a sweetie pie princess baby demon, while Ashley is trying to stir up trouble for them both!

Hello everyone! I am new to this thread, so please just delete this message if I am doing something wrong. I fell in love with Poison from Tinyfox, but I would like to be able to modify my doll. Could anyone tell me if I can disassemble her completely and change parts? for example change arms/legs to replace them with 3d printed ones? I want to make her cyber implants or something, but not sure if this would work with mjd doll? Thank you for listening!

Does anyone else struggle really hard with putting on the neck piece for the 1/6 dolls? It feels like it takes me half an hour to get the head on. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong

I originally had a very, very hard time trying to do it by hand, but found if I inserted a thin hair band into the neck peg hole and pull on that, it was much easier to pull enough to get the pieces together.

I usually use the same tools that I use to deal with the hooks of my BJDs, quick and easy.
