Fox sign hands

Heck. I want these for my DD girls now. Does any company make these?

You are thinking of the "sign of the horns", however, these hands are doing a fox sign! You can see it in various anime/manga and games!

I thought Tinyfox shipped all their 1/4 girls with an extra pair of fox hands as a nod to.. well, their own brand name 'Tinyfox' and I thought it was a very cute touch, even if the hands themselves aren't very versatile 🤭

Ooh, I did not know about this sign. Thank you so much for the information, I can understand the hands better now.

I guess they forgot them with my Koimi.

I hope they soon make option hands for the 1/4 girls though.

Btw I made some wrong use of the fox sign *cough* but it's cute

The metal idol group Babymetal also frequently uses the fox sign rather than devil horns. They have a whole fox god based mythology within some of their songs and performances.

To me Shirley looks like a Babymetal fan, especially if you put the fox hands on her. ❤️

I saw someone selling a cute cow themed girl and cowboy boy on IG that seemed to be full sets and I'd die for those to rerelease.

The optional hands for 1/4 bodies are here!
You can buy them over at Jane's!

NCS doesn't have them listed yet, but you could probably ask Christina about it and she'd be able to get them for you ☺️

So regarding the mold spots on the 1/4 bodies. Turns out Tinyfox had actually released a statement on all their 1/4 listings (with the exception of the MACOCO series) addressing this for some time, this information is only viewable on the mobile version however. I couldn't get the images to show or load when I'm on desktop. To summarise, this is a result of manufacturing limitations in the factory that Tinyfox has acknowledged and catalogued during the process of production with a disclaimer in the product listing pages that updates accordingly along with other imperfections in the product during production. I've provided translations of the disclaimers taken directly from taobao below for those interested.

Overview:

Spoiler

spacer.png

Hello everyone! I'm the fox from the development team of Tinyfox, we deeply appreciate the love and support every one of you have given to Tinyfox's 1/4 line~
In over the hundred days since the announcement and release of our 1/4 products during Wonder Festival in June, under the watchful eye of our production fox team we were quite fortunately able to select a manufacturing factory of high standards to proceed with the production of 1/4 products for our customers. After going through various unexpected occurrences, we are finally able to complete the process of shipping out the 1/4 products very soon and have the bodies everyone's been waiting for come home at last!

Even so, as much as our production fox team closely inspects the production line every step of the way, every process requires being present at the factory for supervision. The factory has also been co-operating with us by going through multiple experimentations and adjustments in order to strive for a high quality product for everyone, but due to some limitations within the production technique itself, we are unable to achieve a perfect product that is 100% ideal. As such, we have already categorised and sorted the potential problems that could occur which will be covered in an official explanation alongside the after-sales criteria in the attachment of the listing.

Furthermore, we would like to assure our customers, in spite of the possibility of flaws, there are products of excellent quality that have exceeded our expectations amongst the 1/4 female bodies that are soon to be shipped. From here on out, we will continue striving to provide cost-effective products of stable and guaranteed quality for everyone. In the event should our customers encounter issues enjoying our products, we hope to have your understanding, do notify our after-sales service fox team as soon as you can and we will do our best to assist you. The future of Tinyfox will surely improve with the help of everyone.

We would like to thank our customers once more for your patience and anticipation over these hundred days, additionally, as you may have learned from our operation fox team, pre-sales of the second batch of 1/4 products will follow the shipping of the first batch of 1/4 products simultaneously. We will also be be working on further improving our 1/4 products during the mass production of the second batch of 1/4 bodies. We wish everyone would be able to receive their newborn Tinyfox babies safe and sound!

The following are lists of potential flaws on the doll parts from the production process.

Spoiler

spacer.png
Head: The following are considered non-legible for after-sales services.
1. Slight assymmetry in the facial features and face shape.
2. Slightly uneven depths in the eye sockets.
3. As the head utilises traditional vinyl casting techniques, the inner parts of the head is likely to be uneven or result in a difference in thickness, this is considered to be normal.
4. The head cap is oval after going through optimal adjustments, as the head cap is designed to be used across the board for 1/4 scale, there might be cases of certain head molds not fitting snugly.
5. Any personal adjustments made to the product nullifies any production issues for after-sales service.
6. Incompatible colour matches of the head cap, black dots etc are not considered legible for after-sales service.

(Issues that are jarringly noticeable viewing the head in the front within the area highlighted by the red circle are legible for after-sale services.)

Second batch 1/4 body: The following are considered non-legible for after-sales services.

0. In order to improve the issue of the bodies yellowing and provide better user experience, we thickened the coating during the manufacturing of the second batch of bodies to allow it to withstand strong lighting conditions. The coating will appear as slight wavy patterns, this has no effect on the durability and usability of the product. The coating can be carefully removed with mild sandpaper if customers find that it's sticking on their fingers.

1. Due to limitations of the technique, the following body parts are likely to have seam lines, there will be slight ripple marks around the area of the seam lines after sanding by hand, These are not considered product defects.

Areas seam lines are likely to appear:

- Outer side of upper arm
- Outer side of lower arm
- Across the abdomen
- Back of thigh
- Outer side of lower leg
- Around the neck
- Heel of foot
- Sides of the crotch area.

2. Due to limitations of the technique, the following body parts are likely to result in injection gaps during the injection process in production. These are not considered product defects.

Areas gaps are likely to appear:

- Inner side of upper arm
- Outer side of lower arm
- Inner side of thigh
- Inner side of lower leg
- Inner side of hands
- Inner side of foot
- Crotch

2.1 Please avoid putting dolls in dark-coloured clothing for long periods of time, one can prep the doll beforehand by putting them in stain prevention stockings and plastic wrap before putting clothes on the doll, staining of body parts are not legible for after-sales services.

spacer.png
3. The back of the S bust differs from the M and L busts, there might be cases of unevenness, this does not affect the appearance of the product and is considered a normal circumstance of the mold's design, this is not considered a product defect.

(The rest are fairly basic information such as the handling and safety of the doll. Denting of boxes due to shipping, and possibility of head and body not being a perfect colour match as they are casted under different conditions.)

The Taobao app has a dashboard function to keep track of updates from shops and Tinyfox has released a number of livestreams for upcoming products on it. Here's one for Debby the penguin girl and a look at the body stocking for the 1/6 chubby body. (Which is sold alongside the 1/4 body stocking)

They have body stockings!? I normally don't bother but the 1/6 dolls are so easy to travel with, they  could probably use the extra protection. . . .Do we have links? I'm guessing they're only the Taobao.

They're also listed on JDL now if you don't like to deal with Taobao directly.

I preordered my Candy thru Janes, so I'll probably go thru her to get the extra hand sets.

So adding a body stocking from her at the same time would be great!

I received my 1/4 Anna today and her body is so much better quality than Marthas. Yes, it does have the injection mold holes in the typical places and one hole between her legs, but besides those everything looks good. No comparison to the several cuts /holes my Martha came with.

Good to know their quality didn't generally drop, I guess I just got unlucky :(

Also, wow, Anna's outfit is stunning. And super tight to put on 🙈

Has anyone had any luck de staining? I tried using the acne cream and Remove-zits but it turned the spots yellow. Tried baking soda, alcohol, acetone, bleach, vinegar, and oxyclean but it didn’t get better. I ended up ordering another body and a body stocking. It makes me nervous though about possible future stains.

I spoke with new clover singing and she said that extra hands are not possible to be ordered.

Got my Anna the other day and she is really really cute. Face up is amazing, quality of the clothing is great. But I am a bit disappointed with posability. I wanted to order blank macoco, but I really hate that she can't touch her face and elbows are so limited, so putting a pause on that...

I was wondering if MDD elbows pose better? I know that MDD bodies are stiff in the waist, but what about comparison of elbows and knees to Tinyfox?

@forged_in_mess I think it's worth noting that the Macoco body does appear to have different elbow joints than the original 1/4 body... you can tell just by looking at the photos that the Macoco has a peanut shaped elbow joint while the original has more of a ball shaped joint. But I do think it's probably a good idea to wait until folks start getting and reviewing them, just to be safe.

MDD arms in my experience have a surprisingly good range of motion, and touching their face definitely isn't a problem. They have sort of a hidden double joint that pops out when engaged. I may be mistaken but I thought someone earlier in the thread demonstrated that the TF body can do that as well, but I don't have one so I can't speak to that personally.

Oh that is a very valuable information! I might go with macoco after all... I'm afraid they will stop being available by the time when they will actually reach their homes...

I have a Dollfie Dream, and her elbows are quite nice, definitely more range than my Anna.

BTW my Anna has one knee a bit more loose than the other. Not sure if I should contact NCS about it.

Tinyfox 1/4 dolls are double jointed in the elbows. From what you describe, I feel like you might not have pulled out the joint from the socket as far as you could have. There is a few pictures demonstrating this on the previous page of this thread. You need to pull slowly and firmly and there will most likely be a 'pop', but it should improve posability. I'm still waiting for my girl to arrive so I can't tell you if they will be able to touch their faces this way, but it's worth a try!

Thank you, very useful advice!

So I tried pulling.

First the arm got off of the body. Then the hand popped out. And for the love of me, I cannot pull the elbow out. I'm really putting in a lot of force, it's not "a gentle pull". And arm won't budge. The lower arm(forearm) is sliding off just slightly but the part from above elbow won't budge at all. Did anyone try this with Anna specifically? Am I doing something wrong?

Oh my;;

In one of her previous post @Veravey mentioned that you need to align them at a 90 degrees angle? Like I said, unfortunately I don't have my own Tinyfox to confirm. A little earlier @pyoko mentioned that she received her Anna, maybe she has some insight on how it is with her doll?

Mmm maybe try heating the vinyl with a hairdryer to soften it up first, then pull? I don’t have a TinyFox, but I’ve done that with my Obitsu, so in theory it should work.
