1/6 scale vinyl TinyFox Dolls!

I have had a minor mishap with Anubis Dolls where they sent me the wrong thing by mistake, but I talked with them and sent it back to the address they asked for and they sent me the correct item! So I'm kind of 50/50 on them. 60/40?

Here are Fluffy's eye wells! And the general inside of a Macoco head. No splinters for mine, but I swear I casued some in another Macoco, I just can't check them all until later when I have time. If anything mine seems to have a tiny resin bubble on the right but shouldn't be a problem. Her eye wells seem to have been cut especially down, which I prefer.

As for YoSD wigs for the 1/6 babies, I don't have any Volks wigs but I picked up these two in 16.5 cm (6.5 in). They are big enough to need wig caps still! I was too tired for outfits, apologies heh... But this at least shows the differences in the bodies, they are both wearing the same 1/6 underwear set for context. This is the TF 1/6 Angel body on Cherry and the chubby 1/6 Imomo body on Plum.

Cherry is the current 1/6 generation heads, Plum (Painter X) is the old TF 1/6 generation which are the tiniest smaller. Plum is also the old (and only) TF tan colour against Imomo tan; not perfect but I'd rather have a vinyl body in this style than resin~   (´ ω `♡)

Did you get some YoSD wigs where the caps were too small?? I had this issue once with an MSD wig but to be fair I was trying to fit it on a non-Macoco TF head (Koimi) and I think they're a bit bigger than resin 1/4s.

Yeah, I ordered a 6 inch Kinoko Juice/Kikipop wig thinking it would fit since my 7 inch Ronshuka wigs are a bit on the large size, but it just would not cover the head no matter what I did.

I also tried on a couple of 6-7 inch wigs on Tilly the other night, and one kept popping off her head while the other wouldn’t fit at all.

Tbh I thought 7-8 inch was standard for TF since that’s what Dolk recommends, but they do look a little oversized, so 6-7 inch is better if it fits… 🤔 

But TF sizing is all over the place. I still can’t get over that Macocos wear 16mm eyes, which some of the 1/6 heads can wear too?!

Help me, I just cracked and ordered Huifre, lol. She is cute, but honestly I mostly really wanted her clothes and I like her overall concept. Hope I would love her face irl more than in promo. I have a question, though, these preorders were happening for a long time already, do you think there would be some kind of queue and I wouldn't get her the same time as those ordered at the start of the preorder period? Could you please share your experience?

I can only speak for LaPeonier because that’s the only place I’ve preordered them from, but from what I’ve seen, they do seem to ship in batches, so it’s possible you wouldn’t get her at the same time as those of us who ordered at the start.

However, I think it really depends on whether the retailer orders each doll per customer, or if they put in an order for a batch and offer the preorder as a slot from that (they usually do this when they expect a lot of preorders and/or plan to retail the dolls post-production).

Huifre’s preorder period was in September-October of last year, so if they’re still offering preorders now then it’s likely that your doll was part of their batch order and you’ll get her whenever your retailer does, which will probably be shortly after she releases.

TF has been a little weird in this regard; usually yes but not always. A couple of my orders that I got right after a doll was released (like after the pre-ordering period and out to customers) arrived very quickly despite the proxy saying it was a pre-order. And then a couple orders that I got wellllll past the release period took a short pre-order time to arrive (like not immediately). Others that I got, lets say, half way through the pre-ordering period I got later than people who immediately pre-ordered.

To be safe, I would assume you get her a bit later than the initial orders.  ( ´ ꒳ ` ) ♥

No problem! I've ordered from NCS, ACbjd, Anubis, Janes, and through TaoBao using a proxy; I've used Legend Doll a few times just not for TFs yet. They are all genuine vendors, shipping options just vary.

I’m thinking of cancelling my preorder with LaPeonier and going with Legend Doll since it’s considerably cheaper, but if they use budget couriers that take forever, then maybe it’s not worth it.

I ordered a TinyFox (not a preorder) with NCS recently because of all the glowing praise she gets here, but truthfully I was not happy with how she shipped it. The doll arrived without a shipping box, just the normal TF box with a flimsy sheet of bubble wrap taped on. Predictably, the box was pretty much destroyed in transit (including the plastic blister, which shattered when I opened it and left tiny shards everywhere that I’m still finding randomly around the house a few days later) and the tape left marks on the box. Thankfully the doll itself was fine, but I still find this unacceptable. For most collectors, the box is an important part of the doll’s value. I thought as a fellow collector she would understand that… 😩

It took approximately a week or ten days for it to arrive and it was around Black Friday, so I think this was a good result. I ordered my Poison from them, and she came in two boxes, no damages at all. Honestly, free shipping is what made me choose them. I also surprisingly didn’t pay VAT (I live in the EU), and that was a huge relief for me. Not sure if this was how it was supposed to happen though. The only downsides for me were that the doll was unpacked, wearing random panties, and they installed the eyes (I wanted to do it myself). Overall, really nice support and much cheaper for me than other US dealers like Jane's Dolland or Anubis Doll (the latter wants 70 euros for shipping T_T).

I'm honestly baffled your doll got shipped like that. So far I've ordered 2x 1/6 TF through her and had a different shipping experience. Both were on pre-order and each arrived in a sturdy shipping box with the black/white TinyFox tape wrapped around it. I'm sorry that wasn't the case for you. I'm glad your doll didn't take any damage, though!

I think she has a forwarding service ship stuff (i.e., it’s not Christina herself who packs and ships) and it just gets shipped the way it arrives to them. TinyFox (the company) ships their dolls out in those sturdy shipping boxes with black and white TF tape, so that’s how it gets sent to people who preorder/order new dolls from NCS.

In my case, it was a secondhand doll from Xianyu. Maybe that kind of flimsy packaging is fine domestically within China because it gets sent by courier, but it was absolutely not acceptable for international travel. It’s not just that the box was smashed—one entire corner was ripped open. It’s a miracle the doll arrived unscathed tbh.

Mokoi has arrived. He didn't come with a unique COA or any art which is a little sad or maybe they just missed my order with it. He's on the old body with the soft touch, which is the pink color. If you picked white, I guess that would be the new non coated body.

He's very cute. I like how his color scheme matches well with Lilith. Mokoi's hair is pretty rough and the wig needs some styling. It feels like Cherrie's hair. His tail is very soft to touch.

Can't wait for Cassandra to arrive so I can have two kitties with eyepatches.

I’d been talking about it for a while, incessantly asking @Veravey for photos and info, but…

A couple of weeks ago I finally caved and ordered Fillion!! Here’s a mini review:

She arrived this morning, and after checking for stains and making sure she came with everything, I got to work customizing her to my liking. (Idk why I’m like this, but I don’t like using anything that comes with the fullset 🤷‍♀️)

So first up are her hands and feet. By default, the Macocos come with the ‘fat’ hands and legs (interestingly, they call them ‘manga’ hands and feet in Japanese). I actually really like the way they look, possibly even more than the normal hands and legs, but of course nothing fits so I had to swap them out. With the normal legs, they can wear clothing and shoes for MDD and ob48/50. Below is Fillion wearing the Volks Melancholic Pastel Dream set with the pink Melty Medicine Socks and white sneakers (also rocking a semi-white MDD bodysuit until I get a proper TinyFox one).

The plastic is not vinyl and does not have the soft touch coating. Supposedly they’re made of PVC & ABS, and they feel like it, but I was expecting this so it wasn’t disappointing to me. These ones don’t have an internal skeleton and have comparatively poor articulation. The knees only bend 90 degrees or so, so they can’t sit seiza or bend their chest and torso much.

For eyes, they can wear 16-18mm (bizarrely, they can sometimes share eyes with the 1/6 TinyFoxes, despite being much larger). Currently, Fillion is wearing purple Near Harmonia eyes. I picked these up at Tokyo Doll Show a few weeks ago because the guy at the Good Smile Company booth said they were 16mm. They fit inside the eye wells, but need Blu Tack to stay in. Not sure if these would work on a doll with bigger eye holes like Fluffy, but I guess you don’t need to worry about cracking since they aren’t putting any pressure on the actual eye wells themselves.

For wigs, I spent all afternoon trying on different 8-9 inch ones I had before settling on the Volks pink gradation Long Curl wig. At first I thought her head was too small and neck too big to rock a long wig, but the colour really suits her. Short bobs do seem to suit her best though, so might still switch this one out at a later date.

I got Fillion because I think she has a subtle beauty that maybe flew under most people’s radars since she’s still somewhat easy to find. Even I didn’t really appreciate it until I saw a customized one at Dolk, which played a large part in spurring on this purchase 🤭 

Last month, @yuiforia asked if a 1/6 head would fit on a 1/4 body. Idk about bodies from other brands, but I can confirm that the neck hole on a 1/6 TinyFox is too small to fit the neck peg on a 1/4 TinyFox. Here are some pics to illustrate:

Personally I think this combo is absolutely CURSED, but TinyFox just unveiled a 1/3 head that they intend to put on a 1/6 body, so expect to see more of this in the future?

BUT OH MY GOSH HOW CUTE AND SWEET AND PRECIOUS! You've captured her expression so wellllllllll~ She's soft but sassy and I don't think her promos showed it well. Perfect colours for her, too. And I agree about the body and hand comments; I like the hands and I don't mind the body. The articulation is worse/more-limited but I feel less scared to damage these bodies.

I can finally answer this question, I was waiting for Legend to ship my package and they finally did. I hadn't used them for about a year prior to this. I'd say they're the same as any other Chinese source in terms of prep, meaning they're not going to be the quality of JP shops like AmiAmi, Manadarke, Dolyeria, etc. Japan is just in their own category as I'm sure you know~  (´｡• ω •｡) ♡

I'll summarize them in more bullet points.

• Typical packaging, not awful but not as tight to prevent movement as I'd like
• Their communication is usually fast, much much faster than ACBjd who are known for going radio-silent for weeks-months
• They're almost always a bit (or a lot) more expensive than NCS and ACBjd; Anubis is about between Legend and the others
• They have the best selection for most brands (hence the higher prices imo)
• You could probably message them to ask for extra good packaging to protect the doll packaging but I can't promise it'll be to JP standards
• See my next paragraph for more context on this but your packages would probably be ok going to JP because I bet your local couriers are much more gentle than mine

And, I'm so shocked to hear about your NCS trouble! I had one bad experience with them but I wouldn't blame Christina; they packaged it just like any other larger parcel I've received from a Chinese source. My issue is the local couriers in my area that take care of the last leg of the shipment. We have UniUni and Apple Express Courier and I have loathed them both; I swear they throw even the largest and heaviest boxes. It got to the point where I started requesting all orders to be shipped by Canada Post services to avoid these two companies...

I also had UniUni deliver a very large package in 2023 from SpreeNow (despite asking them several times to use a Canada Post route) and it came with an entire corner completely caved in. Thankfully it was Macoco packaging which I recycle and dispose of, I've only kept the original 1/4s' packaging because it's custom and beautiful. It's important to mention that none of my dolls or items have been damaged despite all of this, just packaging (severely).

But I've never received anything in just bubble wrap, I'm sorry that happened...  ('-ω-、)

Wow, Fillion is so pretty! I was considering getting her before, but since I never saw any owner photos of her I held off. She looks amazing with those eyes and that wig!

Girlll, I totally get it! In my case, I always think keeping them unused will help retain some of their value, even though I don’t plan on selling (but never say never I guess?)

Thanks also for the review on Legend Doll. They sound pretty decent actually, I’m just worried about getting dinged by customs. LaPeonier takes care of that on their end, and also makes sure the dolls and their boxes are in pristine condition, so I guess maybe the added value is worth the extra cost.

I remember your post about Koi-Jian! I was actually a bit worried that would happen with my Asmoti, and irony of ironies, it did 😭

Thank you! Sometimes you need to see owner pics to see a doll’s potential, but there aren’t many of Fillion out there. You can find a few on Twitter and XHS/Rednote, and I’ll attach the photos from Dolk to this post. Maybe after I get the other Near Harmonia eyes, I’ll do a post with different eye/wig combinations.

I kinda like the 1/4 head on 1/6 body, it's very bobbleheaded chibi, very Di Gi Charats.
