AG Dolls?

Hi everyone!

Has anyone thought about putting American Girl Dolls on here? They're vinyl and I have a lot so I thought about asking everybody and what they think about it!

On-topic Dolls

Our primary on-topic dolls are:

• Dollfie Dream - Such as DD, DDIII, DDS, DDdy, MDD and the like.
• Smart Doll - This includes Cortext due to its ability to share parts with the main doll line.
• Obitsu - This includes dolls and rebranded dolls that have an internal frame and vinyl body.

Our cirteria for on-topic dolls, unless explicitly listed to be allowed, require features such as:

• An internal frame, that is separate from the outer body "casing," with articulated joints. --> NOPE
• An outer vinyl "body" that can be taken apart, including the head. --> NOPE
• A sculpted body that is suitable for display nude. --> NOPE
• Joints at the neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, chest, legs, knees, and feet. --> NOPE
• Heads that do not have rooted hair. --> NOPE
• Heads with eyes (non-sleeping heads) are designed for the eyes to be changed. --> NOPE

Any doll is allowed in the offtopic board though, just not the on topic sections of the forum (ie most of it, and certainly not the DollfieDream subforum here). I think there are some AG fans here and there might already be a thread somewhere in offtopic but it would be buried -likely from lack of interest (or those members no longer posting here), so would take some searching. 

I think Cauldroness hit the nail on the head with her response.

The on-topic dolls are generally a specific style of doll primarily designed in Asia, are a union between Asian BJDs and traditional action figures, and tend to be anime themed. There are some that don't completely fit that mold, but they do fit all the points Cauldroness listed out.

American Girl clothing and props are acceptable in the on-topic threads as long as they are being used by or with on-topic dolls. Pretty sure @baldylox has purchased AG and Target branded doll stuff for use with his DDs and has had those items featured in photo stories with DD and SmD.

Yep.  I too am in agreement about the AG girls.  They can be in the OT section in their own thread but they cannot be on topic due to the reasons listed above by Cauldroness.  As for the clothing and accessories those are definitely on topic since the sizing works very well for DD and MDD girls alike.
