DDS Kizuna Ai

I just want her wig/eyes! XD

She's very cute! I never watched her videos but I have seen her in collabs with different youtubers. I'm not sure if I'll get her but I can see her head sculpt being close to what I imagined for a few of my OCs. Maybe I'll try to make one of my OCs with her I'm not sure.

This might be interesting for people who want to see more of the sides of her sculpt. This person took some close up photo's from multiple sides of her face.

I can't quite tell if she's flesh or semi-white skin, do we know yet?

She's flesh, since on display she matches the Sailor Venus she's next to. @watercolorpastels

Ahh thank you, I had a hunch but I didn't want to believe it just yet without a second opinion. Looks like my OC is going to wait a little longer to be shelled ^^;

Is she only going to be an in-person release or do you think they're going to be selling her online at some point?

She's so cute! I love her face. And I agree with people that say she looks like a teenage Arle.

 

Interesting she's being released with Sailor Venus. They don't have anything in common. I was thinking like Sailor Venus and Tuxedo Mask/Endymion/Momaru Chiba. Just cuz they were from the same Anime.

This sculpt has the biggest, best smile I’ve ever seen on a DD but I’m new to DD. I really love it!  I was actually hoping Sailor Moon would have a sculpt more like this. Shame about the outfit material though. I bought an old Pullip Ayanami Rei a few years ago whose outfit basically cracked into dust the first time I took it off her. 😕

I think she is on par with Uzuki Shimamura and Mio Honda. It's hard to tell without seeing her in person, but the iDOLM@STER series that Uzuki and Mio are from was based on a theme "The Power of Smile" so they have pretty big smiles. I think the corners of Kizuna's mouth are darker, and that makes the smile more pronounced.

Kizuna's sculpt reminds me a lot of Uzuki.

She is pretty cute, and I only just noticed the pink streaks in her wig. That's a new one, but hopefully they are done with pink fibers and not highlight powder or dyes. If it's powder /dye the wig might not be safe to put on her.

Thank you very much for the suggestions @BeyondTime “The Power of Smile” certainly sounds promising!! If I lose the lottery at least I will have multiple options for *best smile* On the secondhand market.

Mio is still pretty cheap, but Uzuki is more expensive. Both are pretty cute.

I don't think you will have much issue finding Kizuna on the aftermarket either.

The outfit material seems closer to what they used for snow miku rather than the sailor moon series dolls.  Hopefully that bodes well for at least some durability.  Won’t know possibly for a few years though.  Most of the time its the binder adhesive and the plasticizer reacting that seems to cause delamination and that is unpredictable

I did not get an email about the Kizuna AI lottery. Yes, notification date is supposed to be August 28.

But I did check my Volks Japan orders page and she is still on there as “preparing for shipment. This order under arrangement is.“

Why I don't see it? 😔🤔

I checked my mail and I have the confirmation mail. 

Well, we will see tomorrow, I never win a lottery 😆

Venus & her uniform still shows as "under arrangement" on mine as well. It's hard to say if this means anything though. They could still be processing changes to all the entries, and either condition might indicate a win.

In the past it took Volks a few days after the lottery to delete all the losers entries from the history pages. 

Maybe someone else who won / lost a lottery on the new store system will have an idea if this is any indication of win / loss.

Unless something has changed, they always seem to send the mailings in the afternoon in Japan, so I would expect winner notices to arrive in the early AM in the US and late morning in Europe.

Given the logistics involved in all of this, I think they have probably determined the winners by now. We have no way to know for sure if that's correct though.
