Guest Posted July 20, 2020 (edited) Hi everyone! I'm not sure if I'm putting this in the right forum so it can be moved if not in the right place. So I have recently decided to get a DDH-03 and DDH-05 head. Except... I don't like how 05s mouth is positioned and how she's not smiling. So I'd like to make a mod like this. I like how she's smiling, It's so cute! I REALLY WANT SOMEONE TO TELL ME HOW TO DO THIS!! It seems like you need to put some air dry clay in there? Thanks! Rizukaa Posted July 20, 2020 I personally don't have experience with dollfie mods, but have done a lot of crafting and figure-repairs before, so I'd like to take some guesses! Generally, you'd most likely have to resculpt by sanding since you don't like the way the head is sculpted. I'd probably do that with sandpaper and a dremel for smaller details. Be very careful with that though, taking away material is easier than re-adding some. Air Dry clay for teeth is most likely a bad choice, though. It shrinks in size while drying and is of a hard, brittle consistency. Since the vinyl of the head is flexible matching these together would be a bad choice. If the vinyl of the head is thick enough, I'd simply leave material as a base, smooth it out and paint the teeth on. If not, drill a hole for the teeth, make an inlay and attach it to the inside of the head with eye putty or similar. Apoxie's probably the best choice for sculpting plastic parts, so I'd try with that myself first. Regular air dry clay and polymer clay might also work that way since they won't be permanently attached.
