The search for Kagamine Rin

I found the dollfie after 2 years of searching, however, the seller.... I really tried to reason with the seller, I tried to play at his prices... but he is not budging, my mom offered $250, then $750, and now she offered $1000, the seller declined each and every time, I am done, as far as I know, there has been no dollfie dream or any dollfie sold for more than 1000 dollars. This is the ONLY SELLER that is selling a Kagamine Rin dollfie as far as I know. UGH!!

Just watch Mandarake and yahoo auctions every now and then. They go for 50 ~75k yen I've seen like 3 listed on Mandarake just a month ago; I do hope you get her. Good Hunting!

Rin was available from VolksUSA summer of last year, but I don't remember if it was a lottery or not.

I hate to tell you this, but a lot of limited dollfie sell for over $1000.

Meet Saber Lily, and this one is in less than perfect condition. NIB she's usually closer to $3000.

As others have pointed out, just be patient and search the sales listings. Right now the doll sales market seems to have dried up. I expect once Covid-19 plays itself out things will pick up again.

DollfieLover43 may be referring to original retail price with that remark.

Which very few DDs sell for $1,000 or more at original retail.  But I do know there are at least two.

I dont see alot of rin or len around lately but as long as youre looking at mandarake/yahoo auctions/facebook youll come across them for good prices. Just be patient ^^ Usually dollfie dreams dont go for 1k or above unless they are very rare (in the aftermarket like rise, sasara, yuki) i believe 2B and Lily were sold for 1k directly from volks since they had the armor pieces and weapons. 

There are at least 3 DD with original prices over $1,000 USD:

- Ruler / Jeanne at $1,090

- Saber Pendragon at $1,090

- Saber Lily at $1,045

Also, if the original Saber were released today, she'd likely also cost over $1,000. She was just under $1,000 when she released back in 2008.

What about Kos-Mos? She was ¥95000, but no idea what the exchange rate or taxes were on her at the time.

Yes, Kos-Mos! She was never released via VolksUSA so she doesn't have an official USD price. At the time, the exchange rate would have pushed her well above $1,000. 

Rin’s non scalper cost is $700

 

I went I anime nyc in 2018, and got Len who cost a little more. There is a chance that Rin and Len will come back in stock in the future. Since volks USA has left over clothes they are going to want  the dolls that go with those outfits.

With everything going on it just might take longer for limited dolls to become available.

it's pretty unfair that every vocaloid dollfie is being brought back for Miku's 13th birthday event except Snow Miku and Rin. No idea why they would bring back Len without Rin unless it's to clear out older stock.
