Be Careful Opening Envelopes with Clothing from Volks USA.

Recommended Posts

They folded over the envelope so that a little bit of the item was also over the fold. And that's where I cut to open the package & this happened... Do you think Volks USA will replace this?

Oh no! Sorry this happened to you :< You can try to contact them (not sure if they will replace it or not). After working in retail for many years, I've learn to partially cut the packaging so then you can rip the rest of it open. Good luck!

Thanks. Yea I was like "ugh" when I sale the bag cut, but then "f*ck" when I saw I had cut through the lab coat... I'm normally careful with boxes so that I don't cut too deep & with envelope packages the items aren't usually up to the edge when I open them.

I've already contacted through their site. Hopefully they'll be agreeable to some sort of exchange though the lottery item was out of stock last I saw.

I’ve always opened those envelopes by tearing them open at the flap. If you can’t get a replacement you could see if one of the tailoring shops in the marketplace can replace the sleeve.

The difference between Dollfie Dreams and Heroin? Heroin is illegal, Dollfie Dreams probably should be.

“Empty wallets, full hearts.” That’s probably an apt description for the effects of DD addiction

Thanks for the heads up. My package shipped on the 3rd and never got to me. It's still stuck in L.A. So much for priority 😕 I hope you can get it replaced!

Cool, didn't know that was an option. My idea was to cut the other sleeve to match or use some sort of fabric tape or patch there. Are DD clothes natural or synthetic?

I guess rather than replacing the sleeve a tailor could make some other alteration or change that masks the cut.

You can also prevent fraying of the cuff any further if you get some "fray check".

And I'm going to guess that coat is synthetic, but I can't say for sure via a photograph.( and I'm still waiting for mine to arrive!)

There are also hand stitches you can use to close the cut( or bind it). The sleeves could also be shortened a tad, possibly narrowed. It just depends on the road you'd like to take!

Being the bags are closed by basically double sided tape, why cut at all?  But yes, be careful however you open the bags.  A lot of things I've gotten over the years had parts that was folded with the bag when it was closed.

I think they meant the bubble mailer was what they cut open, not the clear bag the outfits are inside of.
