Removing Internal frame from the vinyl leg

Heya there guys. During my camping trip I had Alsty out with me a majority of the time because I was looking to get some good shots. During my time there we were of course using the campfire so after I got home I washed her just in case I had smoke reside both on her and in her. While I was reattaching back her internal frame there were two internal frame i was unable to get out at all.

* The first one is not that important but i was unable to remove it. This was the arm (specifically the humerus). I was never able to remove this one...

* This one is the important one. I cannot remove this internal frame from the leg. It would be the femur would be connecting to the knee. So i can actually remove the bottom half of the skeleton but I found it nearly impossible to remove that internal femur skeleton from the vinyl skin. I tried using the hair dryer to soften the vinyl but I don't have any tool that can safely remove the internal frame without scratching or damaging it. Sure I can just use my pliers and grab it but i'm not trying to damage it...

The whole point is I want to remove the skeleton so I can tighten the joint in the frame. Either this whole endeavor is totally pointless and there is no screw to tighten the legs or im screwed and I have a kinda loose leg now...

I'm pretty sure if I were to fiddle around enough I would be able to remove it but I don't want to damage the skeleton >.< Best I ask for some advice first.

What body is it? F3?

In my experience with an F3 "femur", I can tell you this, it is not impossible to remove - but it is very hard!
Using a hairdryer was necessary, and it helped to try and wiggle the internal part a bit till you could get some of it out of the vinyl socket.

There is a screw there though!
(didn't do my dolls any favors though - the hip joint was the issue, not the leg, so it was a wasted effort for me 😅)
 

As @Yumeiro said, you need to use a hairdryer. Whether f3 or III, the soft vynil is the same so don't worry about it.

Now, for the humerus, heat the shoulder and remove the internal frame from there. For the femur, apply the same technique: do it from the upper part of the tigh. I think the key is how long you heat the vynil. I usually wait 3 - 5 mins with a decent distance between the device and the body part, until vynil is squishy. Just remember, always use the dryer on low heat.

Yes the f3 body. Using the Saber fgo f3 DDS body for Alsty atm. Maybe I'll use a bit of tape for some grip. If I only had some silicone tipped pliers
