Time for some 2B cosplay!

I know ZERO about the video game 2B is from.  Well almost zero.... I know that there are supposedly more polygons in 2B's butt than in ALL of the SNES video game library put together.  😄

 

Anyways.........

 

I wasn't really a huge fan of the doll herself but her outfit looked stunning.  The cool sword, the amazing details on the clothing and that weird POD robot thingie.  I wanted her setup bad.  I tried to do a split with a few people but things kept falling thru for me and it never worked out.  2B was released and I had no outfit set.  

 

But then a friend of mine let me know that she was splitting her 2B set after having the faceup redone. We agreed on a price and I was able to get all of 2B's accessories except the body, head and eyes!  😉  I was super happy about it.  Once it arrived I had to figure out who would get to cosplay with it.  Ryomou stepped up and asked to do it so here she is!  I decided not to use the 2B blindfold because I wanted Mou-chan to look like she was doing a cosplay and so you can see her pretty eye.   

 

So please enjoy Ryomou as 2B!

The wig was a bit of a hassle to try and style.  I didn't want to goop it up with wig wax so I tried my best to make it look good on her.  Sometimes it does and other times it doesn't so please bear with us on that.

Putting on the outfit was like trying to herd cats.  I swear, I want to smack the person at Volks who thinks those stupid little metal hooks are a better idea than metal snaps.  The ones on the side of her dress are almost impossible to get attached!

The sleeves were also hard to get on.  Those white parts go on first and then you put the main dress over them.  Keeping those from riding up the arm is hard to do and I cursed them quite a few times.  XD

Every bit of the dress has boning in it so it can be moved and posed in all sorts of ways.

It's highly detailed, has moving parts and is pretty neat.

The stand that thing sits on is BEEFY!  It weighs as much as Ryomou does and is solid metal.

And that's pretty much it.  Even tho this outfit is well made and looks amazing, it sucks to put on a girl.  It took me forever to get the sides attached due to those stupid little hooks.  In case you don't know, I *despise* those things.  😉  Everything else is great tho.

It was made in 1858 and still works.  When the chimes go off, it's extremely loud and sounds like a full sized grandfather clock.

As a nier automata player, I think DDdy body was the best option for 2b because her butt, hips and thighs are a good part of what defines her aesthetics. In the game, there are scenarios focusing on 2b's skirt (I assume these sections were created objectively for that).

Hell, there is even a "self destruct" option which allows 2b to explode, consuming almost all of her HP and destroying her skirt in the process so you can see her "charms". Yoko taro (the game's developer) is kinda excentric and love these kind of things. 

Back to the topic, one thing I do love of these volks collaboration model, is the outfit. It's really accurate and your Shimei looks wonderful with it.

Yeah from what I've seen, the DDdy lower half was perfect for her.  There's been chatter of her top being too big with the DDdy version compared to the game but I think it works well with this outfit and style.

Awww, thank you so much!    And it's too late, Rei has already commandeered the robot and is busily reprogramming it or something.  LOL

Mou looks fantastic in this outfit! And actually I'm surprised and impressed by how good she looks as a blonde. Honestly, if you don't like handling that default wig, I would say getting her a platinum blonde bob from some 3rd party would be worthwhile, she rocks it that hard.

Thank you!  If you recall, I used to have Mou-chan in a ponytail wig years back.  I just prefer her in her blue wig instead.  But I'm happy to hear you think she looks good with this silver/platinum blonde one too.  The only thing bugging me about this wig is the bangs.  I *could* use some wig wax on them but she won't be in this outfit for too much longer anyway so it's no big deal.
