Is there a North American subscription for Volks News? Or do you have to purchase single volumes from Volks USA each time?

So will be able to enter for the ddh-22? or is it just showing us what we can get for dream choice?

Single volumes. It would be nice if Volks USA had a version of VS/VIP.

How does ordering the DDH-16 head work? Do you have to go through the international store for that?

You can, during the time period if you have a paid Global membership. It’s a VIP item which you used to need to submit an enclosed form that came with Volks news for, but it looks like now Global members are able to order online which is great news. VolksUSA has also tended to get most VIP items as limited preorders also, but until this year people outside the US and Japan didn’t used to have access to the VIP items.

As far as I know the VIP items are preorder items, so they don’t sell out during the ordering period.

edit: @Amara77 22 is a new standard head! The heads also now seem to come with templates for help with planning faceups, and a small price hike. They’re on the site now and will be buyable from the 10th.

My poor wallet its criying, sooo many outfits that i want.... the cat outfit will be out in 2 minuts for sure, and the pom pom skirts too.

I'm curious to see what these makeup design sheets look like. What a great excuse to buy another DDH06! I told myself no more dolls this year, but I just can't resist apparently.

In addition to the cat outfit and body suit, I've also decided to pamper my other vinyl girl and get her aa little something too. I'm taking a gamble and buying a DD sized outfit even though she's on a Obi50 body. She's using a DDS torso and all the other measurements that matter are surprisingly close to a DDS so in theory it should work... I'll likely have to modify the length though. All in the name of cute doll clothes, I suppose.

 

Anyway, here's to my wallet on October 10th.

Oh lord, there are soooo many things I want in this collection, but there's no way I could afford it all at once. I will probably have to gamble on picking up a few things that will definitely sell out, trying again in the VolksUSA lottery, and then later picking up the things that didn't sell out right away. Of course, this runs the risk of losing out on some things, so I'll need to make a priority order list...

Strangely, I think I'm safe this time around for the outfits. There's nothing that screams MUST BUY for me. Whew.

There are a few things I like, but fortunately nothing is really a must have except the briefcase.

I may go for the nun outfit, the wedding set items, and the British suit.

Slightly OT: it looks like there's a Super Dollfie FCS event going on alongside the October events, and the promo image for it looks like this:

Does anyone recognize where these outfits are from? Are they FCS-exclusive, or possibly from a page of Volks News 89 I haven't seen in scans yet? I really like this style and I might want to grab them if I can.

edit: oof nevermind, I checked their Instagram like it says and it does seem like they're special outfits for FCS dolls being ordered at the moment. Fingers crossed they turn up on mandarake later

I'm kind of disappointed that the kitsune archer from pg. 35 isn't actually a single outfit set; it looks like it's pieces from the Black Tortoise of the North set plus the red haori.  Which is an expensive combo for a purely theoretical doll... The red Ayakashi-no-Kimono is pretty nice, and the black corset with suspenders is really cute; it'd be a fun item to dress up some other outfits.  The cape itself from the navy cape set would be cute on Saber, but the rest of the outfit looks too young for her.

Debating whether to order from the global store now or wait and see if Volks USA will get it in stock...

Also debating if I should try to grab the October outfits from the global store when they come up or wait for the USA Lottery. The only absolute must-have for me is the red kimono/dress set, and that's proooobably not going to be as hard to grab as the kitty sets?

One rule of thumb I find works is MSD & SD16 specific outfits tend to sell out slower that DD/SD13/SDGr outfits. That doesn’t always hold true, SD16 shoes go like hot cakes, but I find I can usually enter for SD16 & MSD clothing from Volks USA and win.  Stuff that fits every doll, like the Pom Pom skirts or foxtails / ears, sell really fast on the international store and on Volks USA.

Might just wait for Volks USA to get stuff in then. Was kinda eyeing the nekomata tail/kitty hoodie, but I should really focus on the stuff I want most (plus Elsa Is Coming).

Those outfits seem to sell out pretty quick. If you really really want something go for the clickwar or you’ll regret it. If it’s something you can live without if you loose a lottery, the Volks USA is a great way to get this stuff. The only drawback to Volks USA is they get seasonal stuff two months after it sells in Japan, so Halloween at Christmas and Christmas in February  

I’m still kicking myself for not grabbing the bunny slippers off Volks Japan. They were in stock when I ordered during the international click-war and I forgot them, I then lost the USA lottery and missed their follow up click-war by an hour. Those shoes were billed as fitting every doll size except YoSD.

This is OT, but I also missed out on those slippers and was sad, so I got a pair meant for 18" dolls from Amazon. They're pretty nice. They are the kind that don't have a back, and have an elastic band to hold them on. I have them on an Obitsu 50, and they seem like they might also fit a bigger foot like a DDs.

Thanks, those seem pretty nice. I want them for DDS, so they might work pretty well.

Now that Volks has done a grey rabbit bag, I am hoping those slippers will get a release in a new color soon.

Can any of the outfits work on multiple types of DDs? Or do people generally use the appropriate fit for the matching body type?
