Which DD in your family is your favourite DD?

 

If you only have a girl, why you choose her to be your first?

 

For me Mashiro's eyes are mesmerizing plus her innocent look that's why I ended up with her.

Beatrice is my namesake... isn't this enough??

Also, she is so sexy and mysterious, I love her!

I chose Ms. Mariko because I wanted a whiteskin DDS with an innocent or timid face. ♥ When I saw her, she was perfect! I wasn't even considering the purchase of a doll, but when I browsed through the Dolpa 26 limited items I instantly knew I'd be buying her.

Saber Alter because I am a big fan of Fate and she is so classy.

 

I refuse to play favorites as I love all of them equally.

This has nothing to do with the fact that they own a small arsenal of Dollfie-sized weapons ranging from baseball bats to machine guns which would make openly picking a favorite hazardous to my health.

Also dont know which i should pic up as my favorit >.< ... They are all different in my opinion. And i have a special connection to all of them ^.^" ... Maybe depent on that i've done most of the faceups by myself (and when i havent done than i had special wishes for there "character") and have thought about a character concept for all of them. ... So maybe thats the reason why i cant choose one special girl as my favorit... (and btw i cannot like chara-girls a lot, maybe because so much have this character ... And i havent the feeling that my girl is a special girl ^^" ... Crazy hnnmmm ? Maybe thats the reason why i sold my Alna (but sometimes i miss her ) and Subota and another girl with ready faceup (not choosen by me) ...

 

 

But for Yuki i would do an exception xD ... But only with remakeup

I got to agree you. I love all my girls and a fourth being paid for on Layaway will be with me in late april/early may.

I chose Marisa because I'm a huge Touhou fan and she was the one I liked best out of the Touhou girls.

Plus I loved her face in the first place.

Saber Lily because I always think the white knight is the most beautiful character ever!

For Feena, it just so happened that I was into Yoake Mae Ruri Iro na at the time (no thanks to guuchan of Rizon). Right now though, its still Feena, but its because she and I have a history together compared to Kud.

For my first DD it was a tough call between Marisa or a custom girl. I opted for a custom doll because I knew she would have everything I would want in a DD, the 'Perfect Girl' so to say. I hope that I'll be able to attain more dollfies in the future but I'm sure she'll always be my most treasured girl for I put a lot of "heart" into her.

Totally agree! I cannot choose only one ^^ All of my girls are my favorite ones!

I don't know if there's a specific reason I got Millhiore other than I thought she was very very cute when not entirely pink as well as being a normal skin-DDS body type. Although her outfit has grown on me a lot.

We only have 1 DD at the moment (well, and a floating head for doing things like trying to test faceups but she doesn't count) so she's automatically our favorite. We didn't really care about dolls or know anything about BJDs or Volks, but the promotional pictures of Rin online really showed off how cute and elegant she was. It was love at first sight. It was purely based off how she looked because, at the time, we didn't know anything about the Fate/ franchise.

Saber Lily, she was the one I really wanted from the start. Even my husband was in awe of her when she came. I also love Beatrice because she is so beautiful

Akiyama Mio is my favorite, and my first, and the entire reason I started in the first place. I happened to wander into the Akihabara Volks Showroom in the old Radio Kaikan building in July 2010, shortly after the lottery for her release had ended. I wandered into their Showroom at first because of the astounding amount of PVC figures, Robot Model kits, and modelling tools they had. As I perused their PVC figure selection, I noticed I had walked into a section of the store that I had not seen nor was even aware of: The Dollfie Dream side of the Showroom (for those who have not been there, the DD showroom area was between the PVC figures and the larger SD showroom). At first I paid no mind to the DDs, as I was looking for PVC figures.

 

But then it happened... As I walked past one of the display cases, what appeared to be a miniature Fender Jazz Bass caught my eye. When I investigated further, it was then that I discovered just who was holding that beautifully reproduced 1/3 scale instrument: Dollfie Dream Akiyama Mio sitting on a pedestal inside the display case, gently resting the Bass across her lap, and her DD info sheet resting next to the pedestal. When I saw her sitting there, I knew I had to have her. After some communications issues due to translation, I reluctantly left the Showroom empty handed.

 

After much research, I found out why I was unable to obtain her there, and I then knew what I had to do. Months of searching led me to the particular entry on Ebay that I had been waiting for, and in February 2011 she arrived. Since then, I took her to the Akihabara Volks Showroom in June 2011, 3 months after the Earthquake and ensuing Tsunami that devastated so much of the Eastern coastline of Japan. The old Radio Kaikan Building, which had stood for so long as one of the most recognizable landmarks within Akihabara, was a shadow of its former splendor. Wrapped from top to bottom in scaffolding and protective sheeting, the stores emptying their shelves and closing down. The building which has been a landmark since 1953 was being shutdown due to Earthquake damage, the now cracked cement stairwells blocked off with temporary structural reinforcement beams. Even the Volks Showroom was packing up their stock in order to move to their new location on the other side of the Akihabara Station. Radio Kaikan was being closed down in July 2011 in preparations to eventually be demolished and rebuilt.

 

On that day in June 2011, Mio and I went into the Volks Showroom for a visit, and in spite of all of the signs stating "No photos please" posted all over the shelves and display cases, the shopkeepers merely smiled when I took out my camera to photograph my Mio in the place that started it all for me. Their display Mio that had been sitting on a pedestal when I first laid eyes upon her 1 year prior, was now standing on a display next to the counter, wearing a handmade "HTT" T-shirt that had been given to their shop as a gift from a happy Dollfie customer. Alongside her was DD Hirasawa Yui, wearing a nearly identical shirt, which was also a gift from the same person.

That was the last day the Radio Kaikan Volks Showroom was open. Even thinking back to it now, brings back a lot of emotion. Sadness, that the place where my love of Dollfie Dream started is now gone, and that the iconic building in which this place once existed, is now also gone. Yet, I feel a somber happiness in knowing that I got to see it that one last time, and that my Mio got to see it as well. For if it were not for that iconic building, and the shops that were in it. I would not have met my Mio, and I would not have found this wonderful hobby. Mio also visited Tokyo Tower during that trip.

 

Mio looks very different now than she did then. She has approximately 6 different wigs (all of them black like her original, or very close to it) of slightly differing styles. She wears a set of gold framed Obitsu glasses that I found in a shop on the 1st floor of Radio Kaikan on that final visit, and she recently upgraded to a new body, after all of the times I had said I was going to get her a new one, she took it into her own hands to procure Niimi Haruka's body. She also now wears a gold necklace with a small piece of coal from the Titanic inside of it, which I got from the gift shop in the San Diego Natural History Museum after I had been told I was not permitted to take photographs inside of the Titanic exhibit, and that Mio had to go through the exhibit in her carrier.

My favorite of my girls would have to be Lumière because she was my very first doll and has a faceup I did myself so a lot of love and work went into her. She also is the one who urges me to get more girls so I have her to thank when the new girl comes home and I fall inlove ^^

well, i told myself long ago not to get involve in dollfie dream due to my collection of pvc figures, but i just too big a fan of saber. after seeing so many nice pictures of DD Saber, Alter and Lily.....i didn't think twice when they announced the project for the twin sabers. the rest is history with both of them now considered as my first.

I only got Rin ^^ I bought her aroung the time of the Dolpa with Sasara DD in it.

 

I share a very strange relation with my Rin because it's been some time I want to trade her or sell her to get another doll (because I got mixed feeling about her, probably everything that happen around her adoption) and it never seemed to really work. I guess it's a sign that I need to keep her XD

 

I choose Rin because she's always been one of my favorite Visual novel character! I got a lot of Rin figures and even a cosplay of her I made, I'm a real fan of her ^^

 

I'm just mad that every Fate media (anime,manga) except the movie get with the Fate route

2 ver yukino. just because of the price. i love her facial expression. and i fell in love with her instantly. (aoi was too mad looking for a first so she came second (not that i dont love her too) )

Why you choose her to be your first?

 

For me that own only one and don't have to divide my heart between 2/5/16 xD is easy: Rise Kujikawa is my favorite character on P4 videogame and altough I love more Mitsuru Kirijo from P3, if Volks choose to do a Mitsuru, I don't think I would like the result... in the opposite, the first time I saw Rise's face, I fell in love with her. Her eyes are brilliant and her makeup does justice to Soejima designs plus her innocent smile and the way her face is softly done. Maybe she is a little different of the rest DD style, but her innocent face stole my heart ♥ When I saw her, she was perfect! And the best, she looks good in almost everything!

It's really hard to play favourites, for me it has to be a tie between Rin and Haruhi.

Saber Lily. She is the one doll I could justify the amount of money I spent on her. When she first came, me and my husband was in awe of her. We still are. Mari is a close second because she is the one I play with the most, and she reminds me so much of the lead in Kaichou wa Maid-sama. Close third is Beato because she was a birthday present from my husband

Saber Lily. She was a instant holy grail for me and I am still completely in love with her. I honestly love her enough that I want a second head just so I can have a fully customized one and then the other can always be in her dazzling fullset. She'll always remain special to me. I seriously always want to thank who I adopted her from, but hold myself back because I'm sure it'd get irritating!

I got Aoi first probably cause i liked her "seroius" personality. My Aoi tends to be rather nice to me for some reason, but she is usually is always ready to get down to business.
