Heshiko Posted September 25, 2020 (edited) Not sure if this is the proper section, since it doesn't really apply to any specific type of doll. But my experience of registering with Mandarake and attempting to purchase a doll has been unexpectedly rocky and I'm a little bit confused. Any help appreciated. Registered last night, took me several tries to actually get it to stick, but it finally allowed me to do so. I believe the issue was with my phone number - I had to remove my area code and have it as just a 7-digit number to work. I added a couple items to cart, confirmed the order, and went to bed. When I woke up, I got the email saying the order had been cancelled because they were storefront items that had apparently been sold. I'm a little sad, but not super weirded out because I knew that was possible. Where it starts to bother me, is when I go to see if there's a way to sign up to get alerts if they get another of her in stock. I find out that the listing for the doll I wanted to buy is still active. I'm using my phone because I'm at work, rather than my PC which is where I had saved the password/already been logged in. I try to log in, and I know I have the correct password, but it keeps telling me account information doesn't match. So I think maybe I just remembered wrong and try to reset it, and get this: I even came home and tried it with the saved password just to be sure. What I'm starting to wonder at this point is, have I been shadow-banned or something? I literally just registered last night, have never had an account before and never skipped out on a payment. Is it possible they canceled my order because they didn't like the look of my account, and she's still actually in stock? The email said "Your order was canceled because the items were sold out," but if that's the case, why is the listing still on the site?? I'm at about maximum conspiracy theory right now. I would contact them by email, and see what is up with your account. 1 The difference between Dollfie Dreams and Heroin? Heshiko Posted September 25, 2020 Thanks, and true. That's the best choice lol. I've sent in an email. I guess more than concerned about my account, I'm mostly curious if anyone has experience with ordering an in-store item that turned out to be sold out - is it typical for the listing to stay up in that case? RainbowNanaki Posted September 25, 2020 Whenever I have ordered something that sold out, the listing did stay up for a bit, but it was definitely changed to sold out so that it could only be added to one's alert list. Ui- Posted September 25, 2020 When items aren’t available, I usually get a breakdown saying you’re getting such and such (nothing) for so and so amount of money (¥0). Then it totals it up and says the final cost is zero hahaha. Happened when I tried to buy a dress. As for your account... I’m not sure. I would email them and ask. Did you put your number in like this xxxxxxxxxx? They might want ALL the info listed. I think if you add the hyphens to the number it’ll be rejected, and xxxxxxx isn’t your full number. I guess? Idk. Good luck at least.
Heshiko Posted September 25, 2020 Yeah... at this point I'm just awaiting a reply from them. The fact that the listing is still up and active is what's driving me crazy though, like... is it sold out or not?? Still has the "add to cart" button active. If they reactivate me I may just add it to cart and try again 🤔 The email I got still listed full price for both items, so IDK. As for my number, I put it in monolithic - xxxxxxxxxx. No spaces, hyphens, brackets, anything. I've learned not to add things to phone numbers in forms online lol. Still didn't go through, and tried it on a couple browsers to make sure. The only reason I tried it without area code is that was how they entered it on the "how to register" page, when I went looking for troubleshooting.

finnleo Posted September 25, 2020 hmm, when I ordered my nanoha not that long ago I did have to reset my password, because reasons, and re-enter some information... if I recall I had my phone number in one row without hyphens in international form and without the plus at the front. If I remember correct it wont let you complete the order if there's something ultimately wrong with your address and or contact information due to formatting. Is your payment information the same as the address you specified? as in using a paypal account linked to another address to what you wanted it shipped to? this could be a bit of a no-no due to certain paypal features. Last time i've made an order that had an item not make it it just states on the final invoice email that this item was already sold, and its total is 0 in the final invoice. I dont know if you had the option clicked "Cancel order if any item is unavailable", that would in essance cancel everything if something wasnt found.
