Chilmark Posted September 25, 2020 (edited) Hello~ I made an account here back in 2011 after meeting some Dollfie Dream folks at one of the NYC Den of Angels meetups, but I just lurked. I was more into cosplay and figure collecting than dolls back then and assumed I'd never be able to afford my dream doll (Alna in NS). I have since acquired not only one, but now two! My first was KOS-MOS back in 2018, who I loved for her gentle face and found at an immense discount on Mandarake due to full-body staining. It took six weeks and two full tubes of benzoyl peroxide, but she came out good as new. I ended up liking her better as a soft cute OC than her image character; her Figma is a big enough robot girl for me ^^; Last month I found someone selling Alna's head by itself, and sourced yet another (horrifically, NSFW'ly, yelled "NOOOO WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT" at the screen) Mandarake damage-bargain'd body to restore for her. If you look in the Painting & Customization forum you'll see her in progress. I've quit cosplay after over a decade, so dolls are my new crafting outlet. I'm looking forward to making lots of cute maid, lolita, and Sakizo-inspired coordinates for my girls. So, yeah! With effort you can make her good as new, and it’s not even hard as long as you take the time to do a good job. The difference between Dollfie Dreams and Heroin?
