Bare Bones Kit

tl;dr version is they're trying out a limited version of Simplicity with a handful of the girls. No wig or stand, though, so they're even more discounted than the current "discounted for now" girls. It's only for people who have bought from the online store atm.

So far it looks like Prowess (Tea), Strength, Resilient (Tea), Tomorrow, Envisage, Prophecy, Chitose Multiverse, and Summer are the testers.

Interesting. I wonder if this is another way to get around the wig shortage? I know they were having trouble with that in this whole mess that is 2020. Tbh I'd be down for this to be an option for others like the guys coughcough

E: Just noticed that Chitose Multiverse isn't listed in the Bare Bones filter, but is still currently listed as a kit option. Probably just an oversight, but figured I'd point it out anyway.

I would have been up for trying a bare bones doll, if it were possible to buy telescopic stands separately. (I'm sure it used to be, but I couldn't find them. Maybe wasn't looking hard enough). Mostly because if I was going to customise one I wouldn't need the wig... or even necessarily the eyes. But would appreciate more stands 😄

...in case Danny reads feedback on what people who ponder customising need.

I hope the bare bones kits become a regular option in the future.  One of my personal frustrations in looking at a possible smart doll is that you can’t just buy the dolls without extras.  I’m a bit “picky” when it comes to buying dolls and I usually only get one when I have a character in mind for it or otherwise I can’t bond with it.  So Smart Dolls coming with a wig and eyes is kinda useless for me when I’m 100% not going to use those for the character I have planned.  
I just hope if it does become a thing it’s not forever locked behind the “need to be an existing customer” rule like so many other new things have been lately.

I’m also pretty sure you used to be able to buy the stands by themselves on the website because I have a friend who was looking at them several months ago because she purchased some girls second hand and their stands were not included.  Hopefully they are just sold out right now and Danny hasn’t decided to take that option away 😭
