Gabihime Posted October 21, 2020 So, lately I have been mulling over what head to put on my DDS Mariko after I swap her head over to my new Angel Philia girl. My Mariko is the original WS version, so I obviously need a WS head, or otherwise paint one to match. Volks hasn’t sold WS heads in ages, and there aren’t a ton of limited dolls in WS either. I was thinking I might do an SQ head, since Sadol is producing them in the original Volks WS as well as SW. Otherwise it might be quite a long hunt until I eventually found a WS head in a good sculpt for this character. But today, I finally found the other box of DD parts I hadn’t located after the move, and low and behold, inside this box was a blank DDH-06 in WS. HURRAH! The day is saved. I had forgotten that I bought this head a super long time ago when Volks first started making SW dolls, because I could see the writing on the wall. That’s one load off my mind lol. Story of my liiiiiiife lol Currently, I'm forgetting what packages I have on the way between prepping things for my dolls when I order them in the next week or so, and all my Christmas shopping. Poofiemus Posted October 21, 2020 I somehow managed to have foresight even before I knew I wanted a DD. A family friend had access to a kiln for a while, so she brought some clay over. I tried to hand build a mug, but after i finished sculpting it, it turned out weirdly small. We all thought it was funny and kinda cute, so I fired it, glazed it, and forgot about it. Couple years later, I'm organizing stuff after I got Agatha, and what do I find? The accidentally small mug. And it was perfect scale. I’ve improved so much since I did my very first faceups so long ago, so I definitely want to try to make one that’s super cute. Finding the 06 means I have some extra funds for some other SQ heads.
