Volks News 90

Volks has announced that it will be released mid-November.

Also, Volks USA doesn't even have 89 yet...forgive my ignorance, I've never paid much attention to the Vnews before, but is it not going to be available in the US store for a few months like the outfits? Mostly confused because they already had the DDH16 head that goes with it.

It's the same time this issue is always out - it just feels like a quicker wait because the previous one got delayed and was meant to come out early-mid September and not the end. (edit: usually they come out February, April, June, September and November, but this year there was no March issue, probably because there was no March Dolpa whatsoever - I'm still not sure if that event was axed entirely for future years or not. It was never scheduled to happen at all even before the Covid stuff happened.)

There was a recent tweet about there being 50 days until Dolpa...they're still optimistic I guess. If it actually does go ahead, it means I hopefully don't have to worry about any after event stuff until January...

Usually the US store has it shortly after it’s release. They may be having issues getting it shipped over right now.

 We'll probably see teasers at some point between now and the Volks News release if they are the December dolls.

They should be, I think. I recall that the announcement mentioned winter for the timeline, so when elsA? 😉

We don’t know if they are the December Dolpa SD, or if they will be like the other Disney releases. We also don’t know when or how they will be teased, and it's possible it might be at a Disney event. It’s Frozen, so I’d expect something big.

That’s right, and possibly another DD teased on Friday unless Lina is the only one for December. 
According to the contents it looks like they should be showing the Snow Miku 2021 outfit, too (or just announcing their info for Snow Miku in February). The main appeal of that one is that it lights up (illumination was the theme this time), and although I don’t really expect them to do that in DD outfit form it makes me curious to see it.

Resin in Offtopic - there’s been a thread a little while now, since the initial announcement in late September.

Edit: it seems you actually posted in there yourself, so I assume you meant the volks news contents? I was assuming they’d be under the Dolpa information because that’s where new doll news typically goes but none of the other Disney collab dolls have been true Dolpa dolls. But Frozen is ‘different’ so big shrug.

Honestly, with the size of the skirt, I think they could totally pull it off using little LED lights and a battery pack hidden under the skirt!  But I also wouldn't be surprised if they didn't go for it, as it would probably at least increase the price of the outfit.  Regardless, I'm excited to see it in DD form!

Looks like Snow Miku is going to receive a Reboot!  Now I can't help but assume Sakura Miku will get a reboot this coming Spring, too.

Sakura Miku again would be nice, but she’s already on the f3 frame and doesn’t get new outfits every year like Snow does, so I wouldn’t count on it. At least maybe not for a while anyway. 

Edit: it says she gets a limited advance preorder for the Sapporo store only, so I assume this will be in February during the actual Snow Miku event. That means the online version will most likely be later than February. (Unless she’s delivering in February during the event, but previously the Sapporo store has always gotten preorders of Snow Miku stuff during the February event before the rest of the country, so thats likely for this too) edit: I stand corrected, the preorder is late November and she’s shipping in February.  No idea when the online sale is.

Oh, I hadn't even realised she was already on the f3, BUT you bring up a good point: a new Sakura outfit would be so good!  Like the Bloomed in Japan Nendoroid design, that one is so pretty with the scalloped sleeves and ruffled skirt.

Ooooh I saw the news on twitter 🤩 I've always liked the colours of the outfit and hair of Sakura Miku but Snow Miku's smile is just so sweet 😍 seems lots of people are excited for the reboot!

There's also some pics of upcoming dolls on the official Instagram, but it's all resin atm (Boy's Dorm Midi's and 15th anniversary Yo-SDs.)

(Completely irrelevant, but Super Junior just also had their 15th anniversary a few days ago. That's...a thing.)

If only they would also re-release that yosd Mako. I have the midi version on the way but the yosd is just to cute and seeing it there is just argh 😖

Well i saw a scan and seems that Elsa its a SDGr girl and Anna a Dear SD, i dont undertand why they made anna msd size.

Not quite, the Volks Frozen site shows Elsa as SDGr, Anna as a SD13, and 'young Elsa and Anna' as Dear SDs.
