Marishade is right, so let’s try to keep the Frozen SD talk in off topic if we can. I know Frozen is huge, but resins aren’t on-topic on the forum. Folks have occasionally gotten away with sneaking a resin into a thread in an on-topic way, but most of the members are here for vinyl doll talk and we need to respect that.

There has been some minor discourse in the jp community on twitter about the ethics of sharing photos of Volks News. The people who pay for the privilege of getting to come home after work to peruse it at their leisure were getting really angry at the fact that people kept plastering it on twitter and spoiling it for them and telling them to stop doing it. That’s probably why the usual accounts I used to always look to for pics on twitter haven’t posted any for a while.

I mean, I get it, because I know how nice it is to be able to read the physical magazine the day it’s out and see everything for the first time there, but on the other hand I just....didn’t look at twitter if I didn’t want to be spoiled. The people posting photos paid for it too, after all.

edit: it hasn’t actually even been 24 hours since the magazine shipped, to be fair.

DDH18 has a new makeup variation and mochiashi will now appear in the DCoord lineup. 
18 sure is cute but I almost never see it. It was completely overshadowed by the new Dream Choice heads which are more accessible so it’s nice to see it getting more love again.

edit: just realised it’s the faceup that was previewed in the previous Volks News and visible on the model page.  (With the red hair and black outfit)

This looks like it’s a better version of her original uniform. The original used a pattern printed on the skirt, but this one looks like the pattern may be woven into the material.

Makes me a bit hopefully that any 765 reissues might redo the pink diamond outfits with better material. 

Re: Snow Miku Reboot, the details are-

Early preorder at Volks Sapporo from 28 November - 27 December, delivery from 6 February (coinciding with the Snow Miku festival).

For all other stores including the online store it just says ‘on sale 2021 spring’. No details on method other than there being a limited number so I assume a clickwar release.

I agree this version looks better, like the changes to the skirt & jacket. I think the original tie looks a little better.

Mio and Uzuki’s original ties were really loose. The ribbon around the neck was too long.

There's this set of page photographs on Facebook. I haven't seen any actual scans, though.

I found a set of scans, but skipped the yo-sd related page. Lots of cute, casual clothes for the MDD girls, and they show that the Mochi-Ashi heads pair well with the MDD body, thankfully. Scans in spoiler tags as to not overwhelm the thread.

Dunno if this is a new thing or if I just never noticed it before, but they have a page with detail information on all the dolls modeling for Volks News 90. It's pretty cool, and it's almost like a shopping list for doll buyers.

I'm also kicking myself for not getting SDGr Sophie when I had the chance.
