Volks USA Holiday Greeting / Winter Festival 2020

Volks USA will be having a D’Coord lottery this year.

Lottery will run from Dec 1st at Midnight to Dec 10th at 4 PM Pacific Time

No news yet about any other doll sales. Usually they have a selection of limited dolls for sale through their webstore, but we’ll see.

Oh gosh, these are going to be way more tempting than the SDs were...hopefully we get concrete info bout Elsa by then so I have something to latch on to when I inevitably get tempted. 😅

For future reference, is this something they don't normally do, or only have around Christmas?

D’Coords are something Volks USA does only during special events.

They do have annual special events during the holiday season, but contents vary from year to year. I think they usually do the one-offs and a Dear SD lottery during the holiday events but nothing is 100% guaranteed. As far as I know they have to negotiate with headquarters in Japan for each of these offerings. 

That said, they usually do a lot of good stuff and we just have to wait to see what all gets announced. 

Wouldn't it be neat if they had some DD boys in there? I kind of doubt they will, but I can still hope a little!

It looks like 9 girls to choose from including 3 tan girls - one of which is Mochi-Ashi.

Aaaaaand of COURSE there's a Mochi DDh21 and a tan DDH11 with the exact faceup I want, because VOLKS LIKES TO TORMENT ME APPARENTLY. 😑

(Maybe the amount of tan is because they realize that a lot of people in the US want tanned dolls and it'll encourage them to release tan parts? That would be nice...)

I am really excited about this event! I may have a hard time choosing between a mdd the DDdy...of course I keep holding out hope they will release a Sailor Pluto as a DDdy and I am trying desperately to not over grow my collection like I did last time...

Good, I'm safe. Although I would love to have a tan mochi ashi DDH 21, I would want her with the option elf ears as well. Boo that there are no boys in the offering though.

I'm assuming tan 21 and tan 11 are specifically because those combinations are very popular in Dream Choice orders. Most of the 21s I've seen on IG and Twitter have been tan. Of course all the new Dollpo exclusive heads from this summer are here, new is always more exciting! I definitely doubt tan parts will be for sale unless it's a limited quantity order. I think International did that in the past year if I'm not mistaken...? 

The SW 20 is definitely on my radar since the lottery period runs until after my birthday but I'll probably hop on the preorder instead

The only thing stopping me from being completely broke is that neither of the ones I like are 100% what I want - I'd want the tan 11 to be a DDdy or at least have a larger bust, and I prefer faceup 3 for ddh21.

...Might still enter for one anyway, we'll see.

(damnit Volks give us the Elsa reveal already, I need to know where my money is going for Christmas)

Also, it's interesting that most of the dolls are $660 except for the DDS 11 and the DDdy 15. I guess because they're d'coord exclusives? And are d'coords usually more expensive that Dream Choice, or is it because they're sending them to the US? Or because of the outfits (even though they all look pretty generic schoolgirl to me)?

Glad I'm pretty safe here, to be honest, because I just lost my job and can't afford to get sniped by a DD right now. If there was a tan DDP 21, I would have been much more tempted, I think. 

I'm really hoping they have limited character dolls up, because as much as I'd love a tan H21 mochi ashi I'd rather go for miku, 2b or mash.

 There's a DCH-19 Mohi-Ashi girl up with the exact make-up and skin combo I'd order when doing a Dream Choice run, and I'm broke. Figures. I love DCH-11, too, and I wish Volks would add her as Dream Choice.

I'm almost all the way decided to try for the DDH-09. Will it be the wig/eyes/outfit that is in the photo? The clothes seem kind of meh, but everything else is perfect. This will be my first time trying for a lottery! I've read the FAQ on here about ten times now. ^_^

Does anyone know what eyes DDH10 has in? They're hella cute but I can't find them on Volks USA or the Star Choice site and they didn't list them in the descriptions.

Also, are tan parts sold in Doll Point itself, or can you only get specific parts through Dream Choice orders?

@monkeypizzasonic I'm fairly certain they're a special version of Type Js. Not sure if they're buyable, though. As far as tan parts go, while I know for certain you can get them through Dream Choice, I *think* you can get them at Doll Point as long as they're in season.

Thanks for the info! Was asking because I was thinking maybe I could get a shopping service to buy me a larger bust if I won the DDH 11...but I'm rethinking entering at all now, unless we get an Elsa reveal and I decide I really don't want her. Dream Choice/d'coord dolls may be annoying to get a hold of outside of Japan, but I still have more of a chance of getting a hold of one in the future if I skip this time, then I do of getting Elsa if I don't go for her.

Tan parts are still sold at DollPoint outside of the season as well. I bought my tan MDD boy a bunch of hands when I went in February, which is still in SWS season for Dream Choice. I'm pretty sure there were busts too, but I didn't really look, sorry.

The D’Coords look nice, think i'm pretty safe. May possibly go for one, but also want to save room for Lina.

Why are all the MMDs mochi ashi?  That's so disappointing.  One of the MMDs is almost tempting, but wrong skin color.  If the DDH-17 was SWS, then I'd be putting in for her and then putting the body up for sale to get a standard MDD body.
