Miruna Posted November 23, 2020 Forgive my ignorance, I'm new to this hobby. I was wondering what the difference is between Azone en Obitsu. I often see both names listed together when looking at character dolls so I figured they weren't the same company, but I see a lot of people mentioning Azone on Obitsu threads. I'm asking because I own "Jigoku Shoujo Yoi no Togi - Enma Ai - Another Realistic Characters (No.005) - 1/3 (Azone, Obitsu Plastic Manufacturing)" and I don't know how to categorize this doll. Testament Posted November 23, 2020 (edited) Obitsu is the base, so to speak. Azone, Angel Philia/Pink Drops/VMF50, Parabox dolls use Obitsu as a base, they all share the same Obitsu50/48 internal frame and some external component. Then someone design its proprietary "skin" parts, head, etc, but every brand I mentioned is a derivative from Obitsu, a collab, where Obitsu make the skeleton and arms/legs/hands/feet/other and the specific brand make the head (if not obitsu even the head), torso, hip, etc. So Azone dolls fall into Obitsu category.
