Finally diving in after years of admiring dolls from the sidelines.

Title is pretty self-explanatory, I think. I've admired BJDs of all kinds for years and have always wanted one (only one, though - for now, anyway), and after finally finding a custom head that perfectly suits the character I always wanted to make a doll of, I'm diving in and building my first doll. I'm having a little too much fun browsing for clothes and such... woops. Figured this would be a good place to join for discussion and advice and so on. I've been collecting figures for a few years now, and collected plush toys since I was a kid, so dolls are really just the next step in the evolution. (Outside of that, I'm also a big music collector - tapes, CDs, and you guessed it, vinyl records. I go to concerts a lot - well, not anymore for obvious reasons, but used to.)

As an artist I really enjoy the customisation aspect of dolls and such, so I'm excited to see what this hobby will have in store for me.
