Most likely this event will be a full prepay. With unlimited orders they usually offer a deposit option, but with events like this it is usually pay in full up front. Basically, they will be making each doll for the person who ordered it. 

We will know more when the order buttons go live.

To be fair none of them have come with their ‘character items’ (ie leeks, mandarins, bananas, tuna...)The closest was Luka with Takoluka, but Takoluka is more a weird mascot thing than an ‘item’. But it is kind of funny that the nendoroid is the one that’s allowed to drink.

I’m really glad Volks have been doing these 360 videos lately, even though they haven’t been doing them for every recent release. I hope they do more of them for future releases! I’m really liking her side profile. I’ve been really perplexed at the number of people saying she looks like a repainted Miku, and while she didn’t to begin with the new angles really show the differences to me.

For me this reinforces my perception of a Vocaloid family resemblance rather than a cookie cutter Miku sculpt. Maybe the issue is that Miku is a very unique sculpt, so the similarities between the Vocaloid just immediately call Miku to mind. 

Her face immediately reminded me of Len, though from this video I can see the differences more clearly. There's definitely an intentional Vocaloid family resemblance, just like how a lot of the iM@s sculpts have similar nose and proportions in the face.

The resemblance discussion might have arisen because Meiko is the first in this series that has a neutral palette. No lemon yellow, bubblegum pink, mint teal, or turqoise blue eyelashes that are more defining features to catch your eyes on.

There are going to be general similarities, due to the rythm games standardising the looks of the characters, and also in this case Ixima doing a full set of character art for the voicebank updates (even though Kei did hang around for some of the doll box arts).

Though I wouldnt be surprised if Meiko's head is a tad smaller than Miku's. sort of like how Kosmos'es was compared to Momo's.

Honestly though, this isn’t all that atypical for anime and manga. The biggest differentiator between characters is often the hair. 

To me Meiko looks more like Miku’s sister than Miku’s clone. 

That's fair, all I can see is Miku with brown colouring instead of teal  I'm guessing she will be lottery?

Also just scrolled up to see the video and yes, she does look different now, I actually really like her 😮

Meiko is pre-order with delivery in Autumn. 

Dumb question, but is she flesh skin tone or semi white? I really, really need to stop looking at photos of her. I also need to stop listening to my Sakura Miku whispering messages to me while I sleep.

Per Volks News, the hands she comes with are DDII-H-08. I believe that should confirm she is Normal (flesh).

My problem is that I suffer from a condition known as Baldylox Syndrome, which only has one known symptom: all the cute dolls are belong to me.

9+ Years for us and there is no cure. I also blame Baldylox. 😄 Once you catch it your wallet will never recover. You start to wonder if you really need that spare bedroom for guests or if you can shamelessly convert it into a cave of cuteness, unintentionally making room for the DD to plot in secret on how to get "just one more..."

Perhaps not allowing them to eat cookies after dark could help. 🤣

Preorders open Monday on VolksUSA, and I think in a few hours on Volks Jpn. I've been planning on ordering from VolksUSA, but I'm not seeing a listing for Meiko's Senbonzakura outfit anywhere on the VolksUSA site. Will that one come with a later outfit release, or is it on there and I'm just missing it?

The extra outfits for the pre-order dolls are Tenshi-no-Sumika items, so they will most likely be released as a part of the regular outfit release on the 30th in Japan. That would mean Volks USA may be getting these outfits along with the Dolpa outfits in a few months. They may or may not sell them as a part of that lottery. It really depends on how they want to release them.

I also noticed that on Volks USA that I'm only seeing one listing for Meiko for her full-price. When I ordered Saber she had two listings, full-price and $200 down payment (if I remember correctly) with the rest due later. I'm not all that familiar with Volks USA preorders so I didn't know if this was common and the down payment option would pop up later or if they are doing it differently this time. I'm not worried about it but found it just a bit strange.
