Saber was the annual DD Pre-order Project, Meiko is not. It’s only the pre-order projects (the ones that are literally under that label, that are revealed in September, orderable from October to December and don’t ship for another year) that have the order now pay later thing (although recently they’ve made it a 50% deposit, on international at least, to cut down on flakers). 

Upfront payment pre-order was the same thing Luka, Sailor Jupiter and Sakura Amamiya got.

For anyone interested in Meiko or Reina (or any non pre-order project doll) but are unable to pay upfront, there is a Paypal credit option.

It's not as long as the pre-order dolls time to save up money but it is 6 months with no interest if you pay it all off during that time. ^3^ I've used it before for dolls and it's supa handy. Just wanna pay that off because the interest is like, 25% lol.

I think the part that confused me was the line that stated "Delivery Date: Sequentially delivered starting Winter, 2021" so that made me think of the normal preorders. Still, I'm happy that everything is working out for me just fine so I'm not worried either way.

Rena or Meiko, Rena or Meiko! Got to make a decision. They are both so pretty!

Pre-ordered her through Volks USA. 

after hitting a number of dolls I feel like I've become picky with my options. I want something that clicks or that's unique from my current dolls but Meiko has a similar face to some of my dolls and Rena reminds me of my only MDD so while I like both of them I will pass for now. I wasn't in the hobby when Sailor Jupiter was sold 😔 my favorite character from Sailor Moon and I love her face.... I hope she's back... I can't find her anywhere. 

Preordered as soon as VolksUSA opened orders for Meiko, and I'm so excited. I feel like I'm going to explode this winter when Meiko and Marisa both come home, haha. I have half a mind to try customizing my 9S as Kaito so they'll be together once Meiko arrives, but at this rate it seems likely Volks will make DDB Kaito in the next year or so, so I'll have to be patient in the meantime.

Volks have been uploading these unboxing videos for the new Dollfies - they previously did one for the new Lieselotte. I really hope they do this regularly from now on because it’s a really nice way to get to see more of them.

I really like her sexy box too, and the part where they’re fixing her wig she looks extremely cute. I still don’t know if I should or not, though.

Yup, no regrets here. And I agree with Monty; it's nice to see the doll for different angles and light settings, because the promo pics often look different than the original doll.

Excuse me but why is her box art SO GOOD???  Personally I wish her sculpt was a little more 'onee-chan' leaning like iXima's art of her, but she really is so extremely cute, and fits in with the other VOCALOID Dollfie Dreams so well.  I have to refrain from buying her just in case they announce KAITO or a reboot of the twins, but I'm looking forward to seeing everyone sharing her!  I'm especially interested in seeing custom faceups on her.

I also hope they keep doing these unboxing videos.  I wonder if they started doing them because of COVID restrictions, allowing more people to see the dolls without having to stop in to a storefront.  Hopefully they keep them up, even after we're out of the pandemic.  They're really nice to have, especially for us international customers.

I absolutely love the box and this doll. Didn't even really have to think about hitting that PO button. Now the wait begins. I was fortunate enough to find a Luka last week. In the meantime, I'll be saving for Kaito to complete the set.

Meiko is INEVITABLE. There is also a set of gacha sake bottles of roughly the right size out in japan now...

While we can’t know what Volks will do with her in the future, the Vocaloids do seem to make repeat appearances so there may be chances down the line. 

Finally got my Meiko order in.  When I came to post in this thread I remembered I forgot to watch the video. She really is super cute!

If Volks ever does redo any of the Vocaloids other than Miku I hope Rin is at the top of the list. I couldn't get her when she was out and now whenever I see her the price is so way beyond me.  I still so badly want my "Selfie girl" but if prices keep up the way they have been I will never have her.

Ah, the more that gets revealed about her the more i want to get... somewhat bad timing, as I'm saving for some other dolls on my list.

I caved and ordered Meiko a few days ago, even though I really shouldn't due to the currently unknown amount of money I have to spend on a rainwater mitigation system per my township's demand. I do have a decent amount saved up, though, so it'll probably be fine. 😋

Does anyone know at what point they will actually charge us, since it was a full downpayment but delivery won't be until later? The charge has disappeared from my credit card. Will they be charging us soon, or not until shipment? Sorry if it says this somewhere, I didn't see it.

It charged me through my bank/paypal already and deducted the money, so I am assuming it was an instant charge.

Interesting, I wonder why the charge dropped from my credit card then... I'll have to keep an eye on it, maybe the charge will reappear when they begin tallying orders or something. I don't like to leave a bigger balance on my card, so I want to pay to when it reappears.

Yeah, I'm not sure. Did you get a confirmation email/is your order showing up on the Volks site? I think I'd write Volks just to be safe.

Volks are now outright taunting the people still on the fence with pics like these... (I’m still waffling though, the problem is more space and money than whether I like her or not)
